Emily's P.O.V:"Rebecca, where the hell are you?" I asked as I sprayed the table and began to clean it.
"Out. Why?" She replied though I could faintly hear her.
Damn this girl was wild.
"Just don't get wasted." I said before I hung up.
I know it was a lost cause. Rebecca was again the wild one now. For five months, she had been calm and silent. Dating Jake, brought out a calmer and deeper side of hers out.
Now she's back to the wild one. During that phase, she reminded me of Hunter.
Hunter had asked me to meet him a few days earlier.
I went to Starbucks, our place to hangout.
Yeah, we have expensive taste.
"Thank god, you're here In time." He heaved a sigh as I sat down.
"I always am. What's up?" I asked him.
"I may have done something random and silly." He confessed.
"Well, do you regret it?" I asked him first.
"No, I don't think so." He said after thinking deeply for a moment.
"Well then, it may be random but it's not a mistake." I said and then asked, "what did you do anyway?"
"I proposed to Aimee." He said and my jaw dropped.
"Don't tell me you did that." I gritted my teeth.
"I did, okay? And she said she'd have to think about it. Look, Emily, what I feel for Aimee is growing stronger and stronger by every passing moment! And I don't think that it'll ever stop."
"That's what they say before getting married, having kids and then divorcing." I spat.
He took a deep breath.
"Could you not think of your family first? Could you think about my situation and what's best for me?" He plead.
I took a long moment to understood what he wanted from me. He wanted me to be his friend and forget about my own problems for a while.
"As a friend, I will support you, okay? But I see no way in which this could work! You are just eighteen." I said as calmly as I could.
"Emily, who said there's an age to love?" He softly asked me.
That's when I knew he was a lost cause. No matter how much I try to explain or which way I try to explain, he didn't look like he was going to budge.
"I need coffee." I said.
.
"You've been cleaning that table since five minutes." He said, chuckling, bringing me back to present.
I looked at him, crossing my arms across my chest, the spray and the cloth in both the hands.
"How did you get in?" I asked him, already annoyed.
"I know where your secret key is." He smirked as he walked forward.
I mentally cursed myself.
"Well, why are you here?" I asked Dylan as I glared at him.
"I came here to talk to you, to let you know that I'm not giving up on you, on us." He smiled comfortably, taking a step forward.
"I gave up on us, okay? In fact, I don't think there is 'us' anymore." I said.
