Edinburgh, Scotland.
A young girl walked through the school courtyard. Few glances were spared her way as she discreetly looked about. Probably for a quiet, little area to hang out in.
It was her first day, if it wasn't already obvious.
Bright, E/C looked around and took everything in. There were kids her age and some that looked a year or two older. Oddly enough, she couldn't help but notice their sophomoric behavior.
'It looks like I already know who to avoid', she thought.
After a couple of minutes of looking around, the new girl had found a pleasantly bare tree to sit under. The other children were playing several feet away, thank goodness.
However, the peace was short-lived. The school bell rang and the hoarde of children quickly ran into the school building. Of course, the H/C haired newcomer followed after, not wanting to be caught in the sea of students.
Timeskip to Class
"Students, as many of you know, we have a new student", a teacher announced in a bored, unenthusiastic tone- not that Y/N could fault her.
Soft whispers came from a few students. Apparently, not everyone knew.
The murmurs were silenced with a loud 'thwack!' of the teacher's ruler on her desk.
"Young lady, make your way up to the board and introduce yourself. After that", the teacher looked at the students. "The students can ask some questions."
The young girl walked up to the board and faced her fellow students.
"Hello. My name is Y/N L/N. I'm from (hometown). Pleased to meet you."
