Chapter 17: Problems...

EM POV

I had Jake drive me to the hospital since; we were hanging out before Caro called me and told me the news. I couldn’t believe he actually had the nerve to hit her, much less put her in the hospital!

“Are going to be ok if I drop you off?”

“I’m not sure” I said looking away. Jake had been such a good friend, since we met… he is adorable and cute and nice and so supportive.

“Could you stay?” I asked looking at him.

He smiled softly “Sure, but I would like to know why we’re here…”

“I told you, my friend got into an accident” I said sighing.

He nodded, “I’ll be right in, let me go park”

“Ok” I got out of the car and walked into the waiting room, scanning the area until I was Sammy, Caro, Luke, and Matt, sitting in the left corner.

“Hey” I said, smiling slightly, as I walked towards them and sat down.

“Hey Em,” Sammy said sadly, Luke, who had his arm over her shoulder rubbed it lightly.

“How is she doing?” I asked.

“She’s stable… they don’t want us to go see her yet though” Caro answered annoyed.

“Babe she is going to be fine, calm down” Matt answered.

“No I will NOT calm down! That son of a bitch put one of my best friends in the hospital!” She yelled, standing up.

“Caro, you have to calm down or you’re going to cause a scene and get kicked out” Matt said calmly.

Caro shook her head “Im going to get something to eat” she said walking away.

“I’ll go with her” Matt said walking away after her, probably making sure she doesn’t do anything she regrets.

Just then, Jake came in and walked over, sitting next to me.

“Hey Em”

“Hey Jake” I smiled and turned to look at Luke and Sammy “This is Jake, and this is Sammy and Luke”

I noticed there seemed to be tension between Luke and Jake but I ignored it.

“Nice to meet you Jake” Sammy said smiling. “I’ve heard a lot about you” I immediately turned red.

“Really? Is that so?”

“No…” I said looking away, making them laugh. Luke just sat there awkwardly.

“Will you excuse us for a moment,” Sammy said walking away, with Luke.

“That was weird…” I said.

“I know right… that Luke kid isn’t good though, you should stay away from him, and so should Sammy.”

“What? What are you talking about?” I asked confused.

“I used to know him, a complete fake; He comes from a complicated family. Rich. He is definitely going to break her heart, no doubt. Let’s just say we have never gotten along too well. He has a dark history Em, if I were you I’d tell your friend over there to get away before he breaks her.”

I looked thoughtful towards Sammy and Luke who were speaking in hushed whispers. What was Jake talking about? Either way I had to tell Sammy, I wouldn’t want her to get hurt. Ever.

Sammy POV

Since Jake got there, Luke tensed up and didn’t even say Hi. Eventually I had to get him away. He had to be nice! It’s not like he even knows the guy!
