Caro POV
Awkward. That was one way to describe my day. Em and Sammy refused to even look at each other, leaving me in the middle. I must have gone back and forth between them all day. It was crazy. The worst part was that they were so mad, none of them would break. All walls up and no way to get past. The worst part was in lunch, Em left with Jake and Sammy left with Luke. Leaving me to eat lunch alone. Great.
Wait. You want my opinion on this whole thing? Fine. To be honest I can’t completely take a side and I don’t want to, but I think Sammy has a point. I have talked to Luke A LOT more than Jake and I trust him more… I do think Jake knows something he isn’t saying, just like Luke, neither have said a word about how they know each other? Isn’t that weird?
I looked up startled when someone sat down in front of me. Matt. Thank god.
“Hey” I said smiling.
“Hey babe” he said leaning in and kissing me.
“How’s your day been?” He asked, ignoring the curious eyes of people who apparently have never seen a senior dating a sophomore.
“Do I really have to answer that question?”
“The girls giving you a hard time?” He asked.
“Yes!!! They won’t talk to each other! And their slightly mad at me for not taking a side! Plus, add to that, that I have to go help Alex after school, she is going back home, and she is still mad at Sammy so im guessing she will be on Em’s side. This is all so fucked up”
“That sucks, you have to see it from their point of view, if either of them give in and stop being mad then their the weak one. Plus, im sure Alex will see things from your point of view, if you want I could go with you?”
“I could use the help thanks” I sighed “I just don’t know what to do about this, if we don’t find out what happened between Jake and Luke, and Jake and Sebastian, then we won’t get answer”
“Well, it might be easier to start from Sebastian, he might be more willing to talk than the others, from what I hear” I nodded.
“Can you talk to him?” I asked. “I can talk to Alex but not him…it’s kind of awkward”
“No problem, of course I’ll go and talk to him later, but you have to repay me somehow” He said winking.
“I will don’t worry” I said with a smirk.
Matt POV
After school, I waited by the front for Sebastian to walk out of the school. After five minutes of carful scanning, I found him with his group of friends minus Jake, who was probably with Emily.
“Hey Sebastian!” I yelled walking towards him.
“Hey Matt, what’s up?” he asked.
“Just wondering if we could talk, Soccer related.” I lied easily.
“Sure, let’s go” we went back to the soccer field, which was empty. “So im guess this doesn’t really have to do with Soccer”
“You guessed right”
“What’s up then? Why do you need me?”
“I need you to tell me about something, everything exactly like it happened, you think you can do that?”
“Sure anything. What do I have to talk about”
“It’s about Em”
“Why does everyone ask me about that?! Is it really important?! I don’t see why”
