Chapter 20: Gone

ALEX POV

I woke up arruptidly, and looked at the time 2:15am. Why was I up at this time? I shivered and looked to my window, seeing it was open. Had I left it open? I got up to go and close it when I saw a shadow near the door.

I squinted my eyes and saw him. Nicolas.

“Nicolas? Is that you?” I had heard that he disappeared what was he doing here?

He walked out of the shadow and into my sight, smiling sadly.

“Yeah its me A”

I frowned “What’s wrong?”

“I have to leave… I had already left but I needed to know that you were ok… this is all my fault anyways. Im going to get help”

“Nick this is not your fault” I said softly.

He looked me in the eye. “Yes it is and you know it… I have to go now”

“Why? You weren’t even here for five minutes” I complained.

He came closer and kissed my lips.

“I can’t risk anyone seeing me, please understand…I’ll be back later bye babe”

In the blink of an eye he was gone, it wasn’t long until I fell asleep again wondering what had just happened.

The next morning I got up and immediately turned on the Tv to the news.

“Nicolas Kingsley is still missing, we have the whole state police looking for him, the police have also notified the surrounding states that he is on the loose, if anyone sees him please call 911 immediately and give up the place of sighting…”

Wait so it was possible he wasn’t even in the state? Had last night bee a dream? What if he wasn’t there… What if it was just a dream….

CARO POV

I hadn’t seen Sammy at all today which honestly worried me, Luke was gone most of the day as well, everything had been normal until Lunch. I met up with Matt and we sat down with Em and Jake. Matt had already told me what Sebastian said, we were going to ask them.

“Where’s the bitch?” asked Em.

“She didn’t come…”

She nodded.

There was an awkward moment before Matt spoke up.

“Jake why do you hate Luke so much?”

He laughed “What’s to like about him?”

“He is a good person” I said convinced.

“No he isn’t, We have a rough history, I know how he is, his parents have set him up with girls his whole life. He is using Sammy, his parents probably planned it a while back. And when he gets tired of her or after they fuck each other Sammy will be gone. He won’t want her anymore”

I stood up angrily “Luke is NOT like that! I’ve known him for a while an there is no way that’s true”

“You better believe it. I’ve seen him do it to tons of girls, why would Sammy be different?! His parents are rich assholes. They want him to get married with a girl with money and Sammy’s family does have a bit of that, or her parents do at least.”

This couldn’t be true, Luke loved Sammy. That is all bullshit. But what if…? NO its all wrong!

“C’mon Jake, I think we should go. Caro is on her side anyways.”
