CARO POV
Monday I was the first one to arrive at school. I was worried about Sammy. She didn’t answer my texts and I didn’t know what to think. What was Nicolas talking to about? What happened with her dad? As the school began to fill I heard everyone whispering things about Sammy. Words like Slut, Whore, and Hoe filled the halls. Fuck. What did Nicolas say?! I went looking for him only to bump into Emi and Alex.
“Girls have you seen Nicolas or Sammy or do you guys know what’s going on?!”
Alex glared at me and said “You haven’t heard? Apparently Sammy was sleeping with her dad. What a slut, Who does that?!” Emi frowned. Alex was still pissed at Sammy for not telling her about Nicolas.
“Alex don’t say that, we all know Sammy is NO slut.” Emi argued.
“Really? You of all people are defending her?! I thought you were on my side, what she did is fucked up, you know what. Im out of here. Tell the bitch to rot in hell if you see her”
“Wait Alex!” Emi called after her and following her. “Sorry Caro” she said walking after Alex. What the fuck just happened? I didn’t even know what to say. Did Alex really hate her that much? What the hell was up with these rumors? It couldn’t be true, but Nicolas made it seem like it was Saturday night…God, this was messed up. I texted Sammy.
To: Sammy
Where are you? Are you ok? Alex is still pissed… Please talk to me.
Att: CARO
Just as I sent the message I bumped into someone. I looked up to see Nicolas. I felt pissed at him. I dragged him into a janitors’ closet, closing the door.
“Woah… Calm down Car! Whats up?!”
I suddenly felt extremely pissed. “you know whats up Nicolas!”
“Is this because of that bitch Sammy”
“That “bitch” is my best friend, and you will tell me what you keep telling everyone and what the truth really is, because I know Sammy and she wouldn’t do what you keep saying she fucking did!”
“Calm the fuck down, I told everyone the truth…I told everyone that she is a slut, she was sleeping with her dad.”
“Why the fuck would you know that?!”
“I overheard her talking to her brother”
“That cant be true” I paced back and forth “Tell me exactly what you heard them say”
“Something about, her dad, and sex. That was good enough for me. What I said was true”
“No it cant be! There has to be more to the story.” Fuck what was going on.
“Nicolas, im warning you right now, if you don’t stop im going to kick your fucking ass. So stop spreading fake rumors”
“Whatever Car, you know its true…” He walked out. That was the fucking problem. I didn’t know what was true, I tried calling Sammy again but nothing came out of it. Was she ignoring me? Ugg I was so stressed where was she?
The first couple of periods were boring, Sammy was nowhere, I bet she didn’t even come today :( I didn’t really see anyone until Sixth. I saw Luke. Maybe he knew something!!
I sat next to Luke instead of in my usual spot.
“Hey Luke” I whispered.
“Hey…” he clearly knew where this was going because he was uncomfortable.
