Your POV:
Life was boring.
Until he came.
He tried to flirt with you for a while, but you were uninterested. He wasn't a bad person, you just wanted to be friends, after all, you were married.
Eventually, he seemed to take the hint and move on, flirting with other girls, getting girlfriends and losing them, you assumed he would be single forever.
Until, she came.
Her story started out like the other girls', flirt, invite over, meet at the park or another aesthetically pleasing location. But, after the 3rd date, unlike the others, she stayed with him.
Eventually they became boyfriend and girlfriend, and you started feeling a strange feeling you hadn't felt since you got married.
You were in love.
He kissed her, and she moved in with him, only a few houses down from you.
How dare she.
You started coming over to their house, waiting at their front door for hours at a time. He ignored you, as did she, most of the time. Sometimes you came over 2 or 3 times a day. Never once did they invite you inside.
He was intoxicating.
He was suffacating you with your own love for him, unknowingly, and you couldn't shake the emotions.
You were drowning in adoration.
Then, one faithful day, he invited you and your husband on a camping trip.
Perfect. Alone time, then you can confess your feelings, you'll get an annulment from your husband, and he'll break up with his girlfriend, then you'll elope and never be bothered by anyone else again. You would have the perfect love story to tell your children.
But your dreams were soon crushed when you found out that his girlfriend was coming.
You moped around the campsite, trying and failing to spend alone time with the love of your life, but he was always elsewhere, or with someone else.
Once, his girlfriend ran off into the woods, and though you "helped" look for her, you secretly hoped she would be eaten by a bear, or get lost and die of starvation.
Of course, she didn't, and everyone left the campsite unharmed.
Months later, you found out that he and gotten engaged to that little b****. Great.
She invited you and your husband to the wedding. She wanted you to suffer. When the pastor said, "Does anyone object?" You wanted to scream, to hurl knives at the soon to be bride, to run up and kiss him, anything, anything, so he would be yours. But you stayed in your seat, and taking every ounce of willpower in your body, you stayed silent, crying internally.
They invited you over once or twice, and though she tried to be friends, you stayed colder than ice. You were a married woman, and he was a married man, so you weren't going to sacrifice your dignity by letting your feelings for him show.
Even later, you noticed she was looking plumper than normal. You guessed she was carrying a little bundle of joy. Ha! She's not the only one.
That night, you rekindled the romance between you and your husband too.
A few days later, you took a pregnancy test. It was done. After you had a child, you couldn't leave your husband, it would hurt to many people.
It hurt.
Accepting that he will never love you.
Accepting that you cannot love him.
Accepting that you would both go your separate ways now.
It hurt, so very much.
But you made your choice long ago, when you ignored his advances.
Now you will merely be neighbors, with children the same age, who might be friends.
Now you will nearly watch him and his family.
From afar.
A/n: This was based on a Dil Howlter x Elisa Pancakes story I made up. Don't worry, I ship Dab forever, but I thought it would be interesting to tell the story from Elisa's POV. IMMA PHANGIRL.
