*Icicle*

I woke up the next morning to the smell of food coming from downstairs. I gets myself out of bed, still wearing the clothes I wore yesterday. I go down stairs to see Thomas in the kitchen, his spirit animal by his side, it was a polar bear, but it was adorably small, only about two feet tall and three and a half feet long.
"Good morning Icicle" Thomas says smiling.

"Good morning" I say releasing my spirit animal, a snowy owl, he was about two feet tall and has a five foot wingspan. He sits himself neatly on my shoulder.

"Want some coffee?" Thomas says pouring himself a glass.

"Sure," I say as my owl slowly starts untangling my hair, "thanks Snow" I pet the owl's head as he rubs his head against mine. I take the cup of the coffee in my hand, "How's Maki doing?"
T

homas paused what he was doing, "I tried to get her to eat but she didn't want to. If we don't figure out something soon-"
"No. We will figure it out" I say tears coming to my eyes.
Thomas steeps forward whiping the tears from my eyes, "I know we will find a cure for Maki, it's just a matter of time"
I set my cup down and wrap my arms around Thomas, I needed a hug, Thomas was used to surprise hugs.
Snow wraps his wings around my head, Thomas hugs me back and helps me calm down.
"I will always be here for you, you are my sister, I will always" he say letting go holding up his fist for a fist bump.
I give him a fist bump and smile.
"There's my Icicle" Thomas say, his polar bear, named Blizzard, is sitting on the floor, Thomas was making her food, when I came in, now she was pouting because she was hungry.
"Oh go feed Blizzard before she bites you for not feeding her" I say causing Thomas to laugh and goes back to giving Blizzard her food which she accepted happily.
I go and check on Maki, she's asleep on the couch.
"Hey Maki how you feel?" I ask, she slightly opens her eyes. I check her head as she closes them again, she was still quite warm. I frown, no improvement at all.
"Just alittle longer," I whisper, "we will find something to cure you... I promise"
