*Boy*
I was still throwing punches at the witch when my binding smoke spell finally broke. The witch lunged forward, hitting me right back in the chest with a powerful punch. I fly backwards and skid to a stop just before the ball of water which the girl in trapped in. I look up at her, marks are starting to appear on her skin.
'I am going to be to late!'
I quickly get up and rush forward, this girl risked her life for me I wasn't going to let her die. I am breathing heavily as I form a blade out of smoke. I recast Casters fog and rush towards her. Suddenly I hear a shout,
"White potion! Light hurricane!"
I am throw back into a wall hard, I hear a crack, thankful to relize it was only the shelves that I landed on, breaking multiple potions with my fall. Without the verbal saying from the witch these potion splashed uselessly on the ground, painting the floor an array of colors and shades.
I get up, charging forward again, my sword made of smoke in my hand. I swing at the witch as she pulls out a sword of her own, with great swordsmanship, she blocks my attack. I glance at her feet, she's off balanced. I swing at her legs with a kick, momentarily knocking her to the ground. She jumps back up and swings her sword, narrowly missing my head. I jump to the left, grabbing one of the many thick spell books with my left hand and throw it at her. After getting hit with the spell book she grabbed a black potion from off a shelf and opened it.
"Black potion, Death grip!"
A inky black substance shoots out of the bottle and pins me against the wall by my throat. I try to pull it off but I just hang there limp. The pain increasing by the minute. Suddenly, I remember something, I give a quick whistle in replacement for one of my few breaths thanks to this... this THING. A blur of brown and black feathers flys into the cave. The blur soon attaching it's talons to the witches head, screeching loudly by her ears.
'Ashfinder!' I think with a sigh of relief knowing that she was alright.
I currently had a bigger problem than that, it was getting harder to breathe by the second now. I blink a few times and pull at the thing around my neck. Soon I start to hear the howl of a certain black wolf.*Raven*
The townspeople where behind me, any of them armed with magic near the front. I was worried sick about Maki and that one boy. The smell of smoke and water filled my nose.
'Maki!' I yell out to her, I reach the cave well before the others. What I see shocks me. There was a falcon attacking the witch, the boy was pinned to the wall but a mysterious black goo, and Maki was still in the bubble.
I run over to the boy, placing my paws on the wall as I carefully bite and tug at the thing around his neck. He can't breathe, his face turning blue. He was unresponsive untill I finally broke the goo with a SNAP!
He colsasped onto the ground in a limp pile of human, an alive human luckily. His chest moving rapidly in an attempt to breathe. I run to the witch next, Maki didn't seem to be in any pain currently, so I go to help the falcon. The bird of pray was clinging to the witch's head, flapping it's wings and squawking loudly. I pounce, knocking the tall witch down to the ground, luckily the bird flys up in time to get away and go back to attacking her face.
'Is Smoke alright?!' I hear a voice in my head, I look around see that the voice belonged to the falcon infront of me as I latched down on the witch's arm with my teeth.
'the boy?' I respond, 'he's breathing if that counts. But he's probably not going to move for awhile.' I finish calmly trying not to scare the poor bird, the bird clearly had feelings for then human male.
The witch tried to fight back, but I kept my paws on her chest, and the falcon pecked at her face and hands as she tried to grab another potion. I being to glow unknown to myself untill a later time. I was using my first magic. I transformed, becoming larger, my fur becoming more fluffy around my neck. My eyes changed becoming dark red.
The boy sat up slowly, his neck bruised from the goo that only a few minutes ago held his neck. His breathing had calmed down to a closer to normal rate. Maki was still floating in the bubble but the spell finally seemed to be wearing down, Maki was no longer in pain. She was just asleep or something at this point. Soon the villagers make it to the cave most of them aiming there spells at the witch. They cast binding spells, immobilizing her, me and Falcon both get off her and run, or in her case, fly, to our humans.
'Smoke! Smoke!' the falcon squaks happily, but only I could hear her besides the boy and maybe Maki, wrapping her wings around his head.
As the boy and the falcon reuntied, I sat next to the orb unable to reach Maki. Suddenly the bubble starts to crack, and the water dissapers, leaving Maki laying on the bottom of the bubbles new, clear shell. I place my paws on the shell as villagers run over and try to help me get Maki out.
"Next time..." We hear something mutter. We spin around to see the witch starting to turn into a black light, "You win this time girl, but next time next time for sure."
Then she was gone, the bubble behind us broke, the sound of shattering glass sounded threw out the cave. I turned around as soon as I heard the first shatter. A few minutes later Maki was awake and starting to move around.
I stayed by her side, growling at anyone who came too close.
Maki placed her hand in my fur and leans against me. I smile and glow again turn back to normal.
"Guess what Raven" she says softly, as she ran her hand threw my now shortened neck fur.
I look at her as she smiles, I tilt my head and she starts laughing. 'what is so funny Maki,' I ask her.
"You used magic and didn't even know it!" She said happily
Later that day Maki was in the hospital building watching over Alexander and the other boy, who's name we found out was Smoke, which was similar to his magic, smoke magic. Alexander was badly burned from his shoulder down on the left side and had slight burns on his face. Alexander had fluids pumping into his arm. Ashfinder, Smokes Falcon stood on the lamp next to Smoke's bed, watching him sleep while fluids where also pumped into his arm.
The next thing I knew was that Maki was asleep, her head resting on her arm as she sat between the two boys, I could tell she was exuasted and worried about the two of them.
Something struck me about Alexander, the way he smelled it struck me as very fimilar, a similar scent to Demterius...
"Aggghhh.... hmm" Maki mumbled in her sleep. I rested my head in her lap trying to calm her down as she slept.
Soon day faded to night, Alexander and Smoke drifting in and out of sleep and eventually I fell asleep as well.
