Finding The Keys

Chapter 40(*)

"Maki what do you mean?" 
"Maki, how many of the voices can you hear?"
"None!" I cry out, holding my head in fear, "I can't hear any of them!"
I am crying now, familiar only to icicle, the red tears dripping down my face. I don't cry red tears often but this happened to be one of those rare occasions where I was crying them; like the day Dem died. 
"Maki" Icicle says softly,  "where is the key Puppet gave you?" 
I pull the sliver key from my pocket and it begins glowing, I drop it on to the ground and suddenly Puppet appears in the corner of the room.
"Sorry Mistress, but I can't stay long. Something is keeping us from reaching you. My key will glow again when I can reach you normally or when I have more news on whats going on" then as suddenly as she came, she was gone.
"Puppet..." I say grabbing the key off the floor and holding it close to me.

*time skip, 4 months later*

It has been four months since any of the personalities have reached me, I have been worried for them, yes, they could be very annoying but the were apart of my family. It was August now, my birthday had come and gone and I was now 21. We had now moved to Maine, everyone, Thomas and Icicle got their own place this time because we can have actually jobs in this magic town. The older folks in town were glad to finally have some new people arriving to work in their stores.  We were welcomed with open arms. Guti got a apartment where he could have Shadow, Li found temporary living space with the librarian in town.  Alexander and Dem shared an apartment near their new work. Smoke and AshFinder left to travel for a bit, but promised this would be where they returned too.  Aqua worked at a paint shop in town which was owned by an elderly gentleman who used paint magic. As for myself I found myself in a apartment with Raven, I worked as a teacher helper at the school, with Raven by my side all day, she played with the kids at lunch and helped walk them home after school. Speaking of Raven, something strange is going on with her, the apparent full grown wolf started growing again, instead of standing at just below my hips she now stood a good 5 inches above them, and this was in the last four months alone. 
One day something different happened, a few of the teachers pulled Raven and I aside and asked if I was interested in learning about if Raven was a Magic Beast or something else. They all know that Raven and I have a special connection and they where wondering if she was a Magic Beast, and if so, of what breed. I look to Raven, who nods her tail wagging happily. "Okay, as long as shes not hurt" I say.
"Do not worry it just involves six stones, like the ones that students use to find there element of magic." they knew I understood this because of my enrollment at the School of Magic back in Michigan.
"Okay, I just want to be by here when it happens." 
"After school today when you two get back from walking the small group of walkers home we will do it." 
"See you then"

After school that day, me and Raven stayed after meeting the other teachers in the gym,  six of the teachers and the principal where there, the principal looks at Raven, "Raven are you ready?"
Raven nods her tail going straight, she was completely serious, 'Ready Maki?', she asks looking at me before stepping forward. 
"Go ahead, lets find out what you are"

*Raven*

I stepped forward into the circle of teachers towards the principal of the school, my paws padded lightly against the gym floor. 

"So Raven I want you to approach each teacher till your about five feet away from them, come back to the middle, and head to the next on until you gone to every teacher." the principal says.

nod, knowing that if I spoke only Maki would be able to hear me. I first approach the Light stone, nothing happens so I walk back to the middle . The same thing happens to the Earth, Water, Shadow, and Air stones. Then I approach the Fire stone, as soon as I take a step towards it, it beings to glow. 

"Raven" the principal says, "keep going forward and touch the stone" 

I keep going forward and soon my nose is inches from the stone. I look to Maki and remember the first thing she did when she met me. She forced some of her magic into my body, allowing me to continue growing like I was a puppy again and begin using magic of my own. Maki smiled at me and waved me forward, I soon feel a weird feeling in my body and instead of touching the stone with my nose I reach up and touch it with my paw, like how a human uses their paw like thing. 

Suddenly there is a bright flash of red light and when it fades I feel very different. I look down at myself to not see my fur anymore, but I see a human body with a black wolf tail. I jump up onto what I expected to be my four legs but instead I found my front legs to be much shorter and that I fell to my face.  Maki runs to my side and sits me up on my new human legs and bum. I cling to her not knowing what to do with my new found form. 

"Raven it's okay you are okay" Maki says her hand carefully adjusting the weird plastic thing on my face,  "these are glasses, your going to need them to help you see, so don't loose them okay?"

"O-Okay" I say out loud, my voice is slightly masculine but still female sounding, becoming scared by this new sound I cover my ears the the humans version of paws. A non-fur covered section that was attached to there non-fur covered arm, it had four slightly long bendy things sticking out the front and a fifth out the inside of the paw. Everything was so new, but at least I had my tail, my wolf ears pop up out of my long black head fur.

he principal came over as the other teachers put the stones back in there respective cases, "It seems that Raven was trapped in her beast form, this is her normal human form. It might get some getting used to after being stuck as a wolf for so many years."
"Its okay I will help her get used to it," Maki says, "Raven why don't we start with standing, Humans walk on only two legs so now would be a good time to get used to it where not many people can see you."
"Okay, but Maki did you not have a date tonight?"
"Dem will understand, I'll just tell him I have to work late today, right now my focus is on getting you used to this form."
"You two can stay to work, just lock the door and turn off the lights when you leave tonight okay?"
"Okay!" Maki and I say in unison.
