Chapter 2- The Jungle

I looked at the paper with the building's address then looked up at the massive building in front of me, Weyland Corp. in big letters at the top of the dark building. "This is the place...man, I'm so nervous" I muttered and put the paper in my purse. Inside the building, it seemed to be bigger! There were people all over the place, somewhere talking to each other while looking at clipboards,  others were coming up and down the stairs and some were waiting for the elevator. 

I probably looked like a sheep in a wolves den with how nervous I was,  but I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself down. *Okay, I just have to find the right floor and room, easy* I took the paper out of my purse and unfolded it "okay...6th floor and room 234" I walked over to the elevator and pressed the button, while waiting for it, I saw a person come beside me,  muttering softly "meeting room...234, damn, I hope I'm not late"

Looking over at the male with curiosity, I saw that he too, looked nervous "Excuse me, are you here for the meeting as well?" the man looked up, he looked surprised and looked over at me, relief flashed across his face "yes, are you here for it too?" he asked and I smiled lightly "I sure am.  I'm Jane, Jane White" I held out my hand and he smiled brightly "Justin Smith" his grip was firm but not too hard "nice to meet you, well,  we should get going huh?"

"Thank you all for coming today,  we are happy to have you working for Wayland Corp." I sat beside Justin, we had gotten here just in time, the room was half full when we stepped in, so I was glad that we weren't late. I looked at the man standing in front of the room, he's a middle-aged man rather handsome as well. He had a confident air around him as he spoke to us about what we would do for the company and where we would work.  There were 3 scientists in the room me included, so we would work in the labs.

The others would work in their respective places "now before we all let you go, there is going to be a small tour of the building. We want you all to have a good experience when working here and we all can't have you losing your way around here, now can we?" he chuckled softly and gave us a charming smile. "Amy will be your tour guide, so please, follow here and I hope you all enjoy working for Weyland Corp. "

We all stood up and I looked at the woman that will be our tour guide "please follow me" her voice had a nice ring to it, calming is what I would call it. "I can't wait to see the labs!" I whispered to Justin who chuckled softly beside me "you were practically bouncing in your seat when he spoke about the labs" I looked up at him with excitement "Yeah, I've worked in labs before, but this is Weyland Corp. we're talking about! Their labs have everything!" I softly explained to him and he had an amusing look in his eyes as he watched me "well, I'm glad you're excited, I'm pretty excited myself"

We walked down the halls, the woman explained different rooms to us and soon we came to the floor with the labs *yes! Super pumped for this! *I had to make sure I didn't squeal out in happiness as the brunette pushed open the glass doors "and here are the labs, we do our research in here.  Anything you can think of, we do....oh, excuse me. I'll be only a few minutes" the female walked out the room and we all looked at each other with curiosity.

I just shrugged lightly "maybe something came up?" I muttered. I was fixing my shirt when the room began filling up with what looked like light pink smoke. "what's this?" I muttered and looked up as I heard a loud thump and my eyes went wide when I saw a woman passed out on the floor "is she okay?!" I was going to walk over, but suddenly, the room started to spin and I couldn't keep my balance "w-what...ngh.." my eyes rolled back and before I fell unconscious, I could feel my body falling to the floor...then everything went black.
