"Do you think the others are okay?" I asked Justin as we slowly made our way through the forest. We left the cliff about twenty minutes ago but it felt like we were walking through the forest for hours and the bugs that kept flying around or across my face was not making the walk any better.

"I hope that they're okay. The containers look sturdy enough so I don't think anyone got hurt, hopefully" he said a frown on his face and I sighed

*That doesn't make me feel any better* I thought with a frown of my own. We had stopped talking for a little while, the jungle was a little quiet, save for the odd bird call or the different sounds of bugs.

"Do you think we're in the Amazon?" I asked after a while, we both stopped to rest.

I was standing near a tree, not leaning against it...I didn't know what bugs or even what snakes were in that tree. Justin sighed softly as he leaned against the tree, crossing his arms-I wrapped mine around myself

"I don't think so. If this was the Amazon, wouldn't we have seen the river? That thing is huge and stretches across the jungle for miles" I nodded my head, true, we should have at least seen the river, but I couldn't see any river, just trees for miles.

"Maybe we could be somewhere in China? But...we should've seen some pandas or at least some bamboo" Justin muttered and put his hand on his chin with a frown. I reached up and moved my hair from my face

"I don't think that would make sense. We were in America a few hours ago, if they had brought us to China, wouldn't it have taken longer? And that gas, I don't think that gas would've lasted long enough for us to get to China" I explained and watched as the male nodded his head.

"You're right, that means we must be in America then or at least close to it. But I don't think there are any jungles in America, right?" He asked

I shook my head "no, the only actual tropical rain forest is in Puerto Rico and if we were in Puerto Rico, we should see the ocean for miles and we don't. So no, there are no jungles in America but there is one that is near Chiapas, Mexico, and Guatemala. It's called the Lacandon Jungle" I finished explaining to him.

Justin looked at me with awe and curiosity, I blushed lightly and rubbed my arm, giving him a sheepish laugh

"I ah, I love learning about where everything is. My mom said I'm like a walking encyclopedia. But it's also near North America so we could possibly be there. Although, it is home to jaguars and some famous Mayan archeological sites. But what I don't understand is why Weyland Corp. would send us here. It doesn't make any sense!"

My brain was hurting from thinking so much and I jumped lightly as Justin put his hand on my arm.

"Let's keep going, if what you said is true and we could be in the Lacandon Jungle, we're bound to bump into some archeologists." a small sigh escaped my mouth and I smiled lightly at him.

"You're right, let's go"

(??? pov)

A figure sat up in the trees, cleaning its knife. The being was let out of its part of the jungle, seems like new prey is in the jungle which is a good thing because it was getting bored. There was a low clicking noise that came from behind the dark green mask it had on. The being is one of the Hunters that live in this massive jungle, there are 6 Hunters including it in the jungle.

"I must be the first one to be let out" its voice was deep yet rough like it hasn't been used in a while. Another faint clicking noise came from him as he sat up when his mask detected two heat sources: two males "perfect, I was beginning to think there was actually no prey around" he tilted his head down to look at his arm which had a gauntlet, he pressed a button and camouflaged into the background. He put his knife in its sheath on his hip and jumped down from his tree

*Time to go hunting*

--------------------------------------------

I looked up at the sky, although most of the trees were blocking the view, it did seem like it was getting dark.

"I think we should stop and build a small shelter, it's getting dark and I don't want to be exploring this forest at night"

Justin paused in pushing a large branch aside and turned to look at me before turning his head up to the sky and let out a sigh.

"Yeah...I didn't even notice it was getting dark. Let's get some firewood, do you know how to make a fire?"

I shrugged "it can't be that hard"

Half and hour later...

"You have to be kidding me! It broke, again!" I groaned out as I threw the broken sticks in the small pile of other broken sticks beside me and Justin chuckled softly, he had just finished the small shelter

"Let me try" he said.

I moved over to give him room and watched as Justin grabbed two rocks, one was a different color and I was curious "what is t-" I didn't to finish when he started the fire. It took three hits from the rocks to create a spark...to make the fire. My mouth dropped as I looked at the flames

"You...okay, I'm done!" I threw my arms up in the air as Justin laughed and watched as I climbed into the shelter.

Soon we both were squished next to each other in the shelter "I hope we find the others" I muttered as I wrapped my arms around my body. It officially had gotten dark and much colder "me too" the man wrapped an arm around my shoulder, bringing me closer to his warmth. It was quiet and I was beginning to doze off until I heard a blood-curdling scream that echoed through the forest and my whole body tensed up as we both heard a loud roar that soon followed after the scream.

I and Justin didn't move, didn't say anything we just sat there. It soon became quiet and then the jungle came back to life after a few minutes. My vision became blurry from the tears that were starting to form and I blinked my eyes a few times to make sure the tears didn't fall. I swallowed thickly, my throat clicking painfully and I looked over at Justin who looked really pale "J-Justin..." I fearfully whispered out and the male nodded his head a few times, I could see that he was scared shitless but I could also see he was trying to be strong.

"We're going to have...we need..." he stopped and took a deep breath,  looking over at me to put his hand on mine,

"We're going to stay strong and get through the night" I nodded my head as I looked at him.

"Okay, should we put out the fire?" he looked over at the fire and I could see that he was thinking about it.

"It's going to be cold if we put it out...but we have each other for body heat so we'll be okay."

I put the fire out and we sat there in the dark, I couldn't sleep and neither could Justin. Through the night we heard two more screams and a few more roars. This night, we both sat awake, fearing for our lives.
