When Brave One went to go meet his sons he did not expect to see a woman by his side. And he did not expect that woman to be a hybrid and he really didn't expect for that hybrid to be his son's mate. To say that Brave One was angry was an understatement. The Yautja was pissed. But he didn't let it show, he did not want to get his ass kicked by his wife or get into a fight with his son. He did say some hurtful things to the female, things that he should not have said. But he was angry and slightly upset that his son would pick a...a human and then...then his son had the audacity to make the human a hybrid and bring her to their home world.

Brave One did not speak to Jane when they had dinner and he didn't even look at her over the next few weeks she and Nightblood were staying at their home. He was glad when they finally moved out to their own place, they were still close but at least that hybrid wasn't living in the same home as he was.

"Yeyinde" The male paused in cleaning his armor and looked up to see his wife standing in the door way of their armor and weapon room. Lar'Ja walked in and Brave One scooted over so she could sit down.

"You have something on your mind, De'ar?" he put the armor on the table to give his mate his full attention.

"You have been ignoring Jane" Well she certainly got to the point and that made Yeyinde frown lightly and he leaned back against the couch, crossing his arms and sighed rather loudly, looking away from his wife. He could feel her eyes on him and the male forced himself not to act like a pup in front of her.

"How can you like Jane already when she's not even part of this world? She wasn't born here, she doesn't know how to fight and she certainly doesn't know the language" He knew he was complaining and making up excuses to not talk to Jane but he couldn't help it. He was supposed to help find his son a mate, see if his potential mate would be a perfect match for his son. But...he didn't have any say in it.

"She's learning, Yeyinde" Lar'Ja laid her hand on his thigh "Don't be mad at Guan'Thewi because he fell in love with another species. Especially Jane, don't ignore her, Yeyinde. She is trying to get to know you better, she has gotten to know a lot of the clan and if you would let her in, you would get to know how wonderful she is"

After the talk with Lar'Ja, Brave One thought about what she said and decided to maybe get to know Jane better. It was three days later when Jane and Lar'Ja came to the training grounds. Brave One was currently training some new pups how to fight.

"Wow, he's so cool," Jane said in awe as she watched the older Yautja train with the pups.

Dark chuckled softly and nodded her head "yes, he is. It seems like he's almost finished. Now, don't be afraid to as him, I've already talked to the stubborn fool and he'll try to be nicer"

Brave One looked up and saw the two women standing under a large tree, talking to each other. "Alright, pups. That's enough training for today, remember to come here tomorrow in the afternoon. We're learning hand to hand combat" after the pups left, Brave One walked over to the two and saw Jane tense up slightly.

"Lar'Ja," he nodded his head at his wife then looked back at Jane

"Jane...how are you?" He saw the surprise on her face but she soon smiled brightly at him-he shifted in his spot from how bright the smile was-

"I'm doing fantastic! It's a beautiful day today, although a little too humid for my liking, but I'm getting used to it. Oh! Me and Nightblood have been training more, it's fun but hard" Lar'Ja cleared her throat and Jane blushed and rubbed the back of her neck.

"S-sorry, I got carried away. I um, I was wondering if you would like to go Lava Fishing with me? I have to get some ingredients for dinner tonight" she was poking her fingers together as she looked at the ground. Brave one was a little surprised but looked at his wife and she smiled lightly at him.
