"What do you mean this isn't a real jungle?" I asked as I ran beside Nightblood. The others were behind us, although, Maki ran beside me and Nightblood. I like Maki, he reminds me of a younger brother. I think we will get along fine, the others though..eh, I don't know about them.

"We are in Antarctica," He was interrupted by Maki "Way underground! It's amazing what the human government would do to hide things from the public." He sounded excited and I looked over at him with amusement *He's so cute* I thought until Nightblood cleared his throat.

"Ah, sorry, Guan'Thwei" the young male laughed out but kept running.

"Yes, well, you'll see more when we finally get out of here." I heard one of the males curse behind me.

"I'm picking up multiple kiande amedha, it seems like the humans were keeping those abominations locked up. They got what they deserve."

I looked over at Nightblood with worried eyes "that can't be good, right?" I asked.

He shook his head, stopping suddenly "no, it's not. Get on my back, Jane. We don't have the time to fight and our window of opportunity is closing fast."

I quickly climbed on to his back, wrapping my arms around his neck and I felt his arms grip my thighs "Remember, if you see a kiande amedha, keep running" he turned to look at the males and they nodded their heads.

"Understood" one of them said, I would really have to get to know their names.

With that, Nightblood took off running, faster then what we all were running a few minutes ago *Holy crap!* I thought and lowered my head, seeing the trees blur from how fast he was running. What happened next shocked the hell out of me, the sky looked like it was turning off! The sound it made was like large stadium lights turning off and it was going off slowly.

"W-what the hell is going on?" I whispered.

"I told you this place isn't really a jungle" Maki said from beside us and I now believed him because after a few minutes, the sky was pitch black and so was the jungle even the regular noises that we used to hear were gone as well. Now all I heard was us and that scared me

"We'll be out of the jungle in a few minutes, there is a area where the humans would come in and out of. It should be open" one of the Yautjas said and Nightblood grunted as he jumped over a log.

"It had better be clear, how many kiande amedha are there?" Nightblood asked and it was quiet for a few seconds.

"20...no wait, 30 now. Pauk! How the hell did those oomans keep that many?! It doesn't make any sense!"

I was worried and heard Nightblood growl softly "what's kiande amedha?" I finally asked and he turned his head slightly at my voice.

"It's something that we hunt for training or to go from an unblooded to a an blooded. It's what oomans call an Xenomorph."

---------------------

The Xenomorph slowly stalked down the halls of the now empty building. Many of his brothers and sisters were also wandering down the halls or outside. As he moved, he could see many humans dead, a lot of them soldiers and some wore white lab coats. He stopped and looked down at a dead human, he hated humans because of the way they treated him and his family.

No matter, they were all dead anyway. They could stay here and the Queen would be happy too. He turned and continued to walk down the hall *Brother, I saw movement in the jungle! 7 life forms are heading to the base.* The connection that the hive had was strong and he could hear everyone talk, but he learned to only listen to the important thoughts, like this one. *Don't attack yet, do you know what they are?* He asked as he started making his way to the entrance to the jungle.
