Jaelyn POV:
"Jae honey can you please help mummy take these cookies to the new neighbors?" My mum bends down and stares into my eyes. I don't want to help her but I have to because mummy will be sad if I don't help.
"ok" I respond in a small voice. She picks me up and places me on top of the counter before beginning to pack the cookies into two bags one for me and one for her. When she finishes she ties my hair up into a tight ponytail causing me to moan before placing me back down and giving me a bag.
"Come on baby girl" she says to me and grabs my hand as we walk out of the house and towards the neighbors. I look round the back and see a boy in a white outfit kicking butterflies.
"Hey stop it don't do that!" I drop my bag of cookies and run towards him. He looks at me surprised but I just frown at him.
"What I'm kicking the air" he shrugs his shoulders at me.
"But there were butterflies too" I sulk at him.
"Sorry" he frowns, I walk towards him and give him a big hug catching him off guard.
"Its ok" I pat his head making him smile.
"What's your name?" He asks me making me give him a big smile.
"My name is Jaelyn but you can call me Jae" I respond and stick my hand out prepared for him to shake it.
"Oh my name is Jungkook but you can call me Jungkook" he says and shakes my hand.
2 years later:
Jungkook POV:
My 8th birthday is coming up and I can't wait my mum says she is going to take me out to buy me a basketball hoodie. I love playing basketball even though the kids at school make fun of me whenever I don't score I still love doing it.
"Hey Jae I'm turning 8!" I shout as soon as I see her across the road with her school bag on her back, why is she so late again?
"So? I'm turning 9" she crosses her arms at me as she crosses the road.
"But we just celebrated your 7th birthday" I respond whilst scratching my head, I'm not very good at maths but I'm pretty sure that she is 7.
"Yeah that was 2 years ago you idiot" she slaps my forehead making me moan. "Anyways I already got your present do you want to see it?" She ask making me nod my head in excitement. She quickly runs into her house and comes back outside with a round present in her hands.
"What is it?" I ask her as I shake the present making her roll her eyes at me.
"Open it you numpty" she slaps my forehead again. I quickly open the present and then hug her as soon as I see that she got me a basketball.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you" I hug her as we jump in circles.
"Ew Jungkook and Jae love each other" Natalia shouts making all the kids in the street laugh.
"Shut up Natalia before I ripe your stinking barbie dolls!" Jae shouts at her making me laugh. "what are you laughing at?" She says as she threatens to punch me.
"Nothing" I murmur making her smile. I pick up the new basketball and throw it at her and she quickly catches it. Unlike me Jae is really good at playing basketball because every weekend her uncle teaches her and I always miss it because I am at Taekwondo.
"You wanna play home boy" she asks me as she begins to bounce the ball. I rush towards her trying to grab the ball away from her but she is too quick and dribbles right past me before shooting. I begin to clap my hands as she bows pretending that there is a crowd in front of her.
