Jae POV:
I don't exactly know why I picked up my dad's phone, I usually don't do that I just let it ring and he can deal with it himself but for some reason today I decided to answer it and now I've made a dumbass promise to a person that I have never met in my life. The thing that I don't understand is why on Earth did she ask me to be her maid of honor when she doesn't even know who I am? It's a bit weird but at least she knows my dad so its not that bad... I guess.
"Who was that?" My dad asks as soon as he gets back and sits in his seat before kicking his feet up.
"Jae yoon" I respond making him sigh and roll his head backwards.
"What does that woman want now?" He asks me with a pissed off expression on his face. Wow I can already tell that she is an annoying person since my dad doesn't get along with her but why is he going to her wedding then?
"She asked me to be her maid of honor" I answer him and he just rolls his eyes, "who is she anyways?" I ask him and he sighs again.
"She's your cousin and she's getting married to one of my workers" he responds and I just nod my head. Well at least she is not a complete stranger, she is my cousin which means that we can get to know each other and who knows we might become best friends.
"How old is she?"
"She's 22"
"Isn't she a bit young though?" I ask him and he nods his head in agreement. "What's her fiancé like?"
"Jongin is a very handsome man who needs connections in order for him to be successful" he sighs making me look at him with my eyes wide open. Is he trying to tell me that this 'Jongin' guy isn't marrying her because he loves her but because he wants to use her? What a dick!
"Remind me not to get married" I say to him making him smile at me.
"That's my girl" he beams as he pulls me into a hug.
3 days before the Wedding:
For the past few school days Jungkook has not approached me, not even once which kind of caught me off guard. I was expecting him to be the douchebag that he is and start harassing me about how much he 'loves me' and 'wants to be with me'. I'm lowkey upset that I don't have his attention but from time to time I do find him staring at me. Maybe he has changed and realized that I need space or maybe he has given up on me.
"Jae? Jae! Are you paying attention?" Jae Yoon shouts at me making me jump. I look up at her in her big puffy wedding dress and with her arms crossed giving me angry look.
"Sorry" I manage to mumble but that only makes her roll her eyes at me making me sigh. I don't want to be here, I rather be in school learning about algebra. I would back out but my dad said that I made a promise therefore I should keep it.
"You need to concentrate otherwise you won't know what to do" she scolds me. She pulls me up from my seat and drags me across the hall to the other side where a random man stood looking like he rather be somewhere else too. "This is Mike and Mike will pretend to be Jongin's best man" she introduces me to Mike.
"So why isn't his actual best man here to practice how to walk down an isle with me?" I ask her with my arms crossed. I don't understand why I have to learn how to walk, I have been walking all my life.
"Because honey you have to walk in these" she holds up a pair of 6 inch heels and hands them over to me. I look at them in awe, I have worn heels before but not 6 inch heels that look like they were made to kill a bitch.
