I woke up with a severe headache. I felt like throwing up again. I checked my surroundings. Wait. Hollup...where the heck am I??? An unfamiliar woman peered up from her phone. I froze.
"Oh! You're awake!" She smiled. She seemed kind. "My name is Tiffany."
"Where are my parents?" I asked. Tiffany's smile faded. She shook her head and she looked so sad. Oh no. A knot formed in my stomach and I gulped.
"They're okay, right?" Now it was her turn to look nervous.
"Your parents...they..." she started. Please tell me this isn't what I think it is.
"They what."
"I'm so sorry...I ... they...they didn't make it..." she looked up at me. I couldn't move and my mind went blank. I couldn't see anything, it all turned into a blur. My whole body went numb. The world wasn't there anymore. Everything disappeared except for two words that kept repeating in my mind. They're gone.
