Ryohei and Kanda nearly fainted as they stepped down into the large circular living room.
"Father!" Kanda exclaimed as her father stood from where he sat adjacent to his enemy Wataro Kimura.
"Misaki Kai-San!" Ryohei said rigidly and lowered his face.
"Wataro Kimura-San!" the duo both shouted in unison.
Parker backed safely into the hall.
Ryohei looked over at his father nervously.
"It is alright my son. You and Kanda have a seat. I summoned Misaki Kai-San here to discuss this tenuous situation with him. He and I have come to the same conclusion that he has been manipulated by one of his men, Wada Izo and it is in both of our interests to see this goes no further."
"Father, is this true?" Kanda asked, edging closer to her father.
"Yes, it is daughter. Wataro Kimura-San and I have agreed that Wada will be dealt with by the proper authorities under one condition...one we both feel will be for the best."
"Pardon my interruption, Misaki Kai-San, may I ask what this condition may be?" Ryohei inquired, cutting his eyes at his father.
"That this ridiculous relationship be brought to an end," Wataro interjected.
"No!" Kanda exclaimed and grabbed Ryohei's arm. "I will never leave him! I love Ryohei!"
The Yakuza father narrowed his eyes at Kanda. "You will put away this foolishness, child. Wataro and I both agree this...this, whatever this is, will never last!"
"Listen to reason, Ryohei. Misaki Kai-San is correct. It can never work!"

Parker looked outside as he heard a car pull up followed by the sounds of men shouting. When a bloody head smacked up against the frosted glass of the front door and slid down leaving a red streak in its wake, Parker bolted for the living room.
"He's here! Wada's here!"
"My men..."
Parker cut the old Yakuza warlord off. "Your men are dead and you're next...I'd say all of us are dead unless he's stopped."
Wataro and Misaki glanced over at each other and nodded, extracting pistols from their jackets.
"Go! Leave this to us!" Wataro said, pointing the weapon toward the front of the room.
Misaki looked over at Kanda. "My car is out back. Take the keys from the driver and tell him to join me in here...bring his weapon."
"No, father! Wada will kill you! I know what..."
"Silence, child. Now, do what I say!" Misaki turned his attention to Ryohei. "Make her happy, boy...now, go!"
Ryohei bowed respectfully and grabbed Kanda by the wrist.

As Kanda drove the Mercedes away from the mansion, she could hear the sounds of several handguns exchanging fire. She wiped the tears away from her eyes and focused on the road before her. She was Yakuza after all, and Yakuza show no sign of pain.
