Two months before...

"Wow, what a headache that was! I have no idea what got into me..." Parker rubbed his temples. He sat on a park bench beneath a flickering street lamp praying for the pulsing pain to ease. He was not exactly sure where or when he was, but thankfully, even though he was outside, he was all alone and safe...at least, for the moment. It also appeared there was some sort of civilization here; one very much alive as indicated from the glowing bulb above him and the manicured grass beneath his shoes. Regardless, he would stay on high alert for anything threatening until he could better see the misty world around him. Until then, his emotional state would not change. Parker sat back as he noticed an orange hue forming on the foggy horizon and breathed a sigh of relief.

Without warning, a shadowy form appeared from the blanket of morning fog covering the park. A rhythmic crunch accompanied the figure as it bounced down the cement path meandering its way past where Parker was reclining.

Parker sat up as he recognized the shape of what he assumed was a slim female jogger, one with a slightly larger head than he would have expected. As she approached, the woman raised a hand to wave and turned her attention toward Parker. The jogger began to smile, but that expression halted the moment she and Parker's eyes locked.

"What the hell!?!!" Parker exclaimed as he dove over the back of the bench to distance himself from the strange woman.

The startled female stumbled and ran face first into a tree, knocking herself unconscious.

Parker quickly scrambled to his feet and began to run only pausing when he heard the jogger moaning. He bent over with his hands on his thighs to catch his breath. "Dammit, here you go again, dummy. You just can't help it, can you?"

"Ohhh..."

Parker stood, tilting his head as he cautiously approached the injured woman. He noticed her very large eyes were closed this time. Apparently, the woman smacked the tree rather hard. As Parker knelt down to check the strange, but oddly beautiful woman's pulse, he noted she was dressed in a bright green, form-fitting outfit and wore a rather familiar brand of shoes. Parker was definitely on some version of Earth, but she was not like any human he had ever encountered before. He carefully reached over and tilted her tear-drop shaped face toward him to examine the bruise on her forehead. It healed as he looked it over. "What the fu...?"

"Keep away from me or I'll scream, Martian!!!" the woman said suddenly, her huge eyes popping open

"Keep away from me or I'll scream, Martian!!!" the woman said suddenly, her huge eyes popping open.

The action took Parker by surprise and he fell backwards onto his rear. "Alright! Alright! I'm getting back!"

"Is this an attempt to murder me? Tell me, Martian!"

Parker raised an eyebrow. "Murder you? Oh good god, no! And why do you keep calling me a Martian? I'm from Earth..."

"Like hell you are! You are clearly not from Earth!" The woman stood slowly and brushed herself off. She stepped away from Parker who was still seated on the ground. "Please, just leave me alone or I will call...erm, uh...I'll call Animal Control!"
