I woke up in a hospital room after a day. Hindi dahil sa daplis na tama ng bala, kundi sa pagod at stress. I guess my body demanded for a complete rest talaga. I look around but I see no one.

Ay,grabe sila oh. Talagang di man lang ako binantayan? What if balikan ako ng Guido na yun?! Jeez!

I reached for my phone on the table beside my bed.

Kumunot ang noo ko dahil wala man lang text o tawag mula sa dela Cenang yun.

I tried calling him but it just kept on routing me to voicemail.

I'm worried. What if tinuluyan siya ng baliw niyang tatay dahil nag-abort mission siya sa akin? Ohmygee!

I was about to dial Brit's number when the mighty eagle, named Juan Hideo, entered my room.

"You're awake,huh?" His opening remark.

"Obviously. Mulat ang mga mata ko di ba?" I sarcastically replied.

He snickered. "Brat. I just thought you wanna sleep forever. I would be glad then. Bawas sakit ng ulo."

I glared at him. "Oh how I love you, brother. I so love you that I even wished you don't exist."

He smirked. "Really? But I'm your favorite, princess. Stop pretending you hate me."

I just rolled my eyes at him. I sat up straight and turn the tv on instead.

Hideo on the other hand, peacefully sat in the couch near the window and became busy with his phone.

Gosh, masyado akong naiinis sa kanya. He knows something but he wanted me to make him spit it out!

Padabog kong pinatay ang tv at pinandilatan siya.

"C'mon Juan Hideo, spill it!"

"Spill what?" Patay malisya niyang sabi. Prente pa siyang dume-quatro.
The nerve!

"Where is he? Why there's no call or text from him? What did you do to him?"

"That's quite an accusation, princess." See? He even managed to play it cool!

"Juan Hideo, I know you my entire life so there's really nothing you can hide from me. I know when something's up so please--I'm begging you.. where is my boyfriend?!"

"Well, that's new.. you begging and all. Ahhh--I really feel so powerful right now that maybe, if I ask you to jump over the window just to know where the fvck your fake boyfriend is, you'll do so. You make me happy today, little sis." And he is grinning. Like he won an international deal!

"Whatever. You are not powerful, big bro. You are manipulative! Urgh! Just tell me, please!" I sound desperate pero.. bahala na talaga si Batman. Im worried to the max na baka pina-assassinate na siya. Kung hindi ng tatay niya malamang si Juan Hideo ang mastermind! Tsk.

"You're not thinking I murdered your fake boyfriend, are you? Tsk. Tsk. You think so low of me. I'm hurt, princess." He even faked a wince. I threw my pillow on him. Nasangga niya naman. Then he chuckled.

"Damn. Your boyfriend is alive and kicking, if you're that worried."

Well, that's a relief. Akala ko kung ano na nangyari sa kanya.

"But.."

I look at him. Shit, bakit may 'but' pa?! Kinabahan na naman ako!

"He did something so his mad father would stop bothering you."
This time, he gave me a serious face.

Super bilis na ng tibok ng puso ko.
Bakit feeling ko, bad news to?

"What--what is it?" It came out a whisper.

He stood up looked away.

"He has to be married off."

I was dumbfounded. Antagal bago nasink in sa akin.

"Wh--what? To-to whom? No,no,no. He can't! That cannot be!" I am panicking. Sheez, the man I love? Oh no. He just confessed the other day, good Lord!

"To Verscianna Donetello. Daughter of a suspected drug Lord. Tsss. Talagang matayog ang ambisyon ng tatay ng nobyo mo, princess." He was making fun of Race.

But my heart constricted upon hearing who he was supposed to marry. Bakit ang saklap ng buhay niya? If I just could have a faiey godmom, I'm so gonna wish that he'll be reborn to a good family with a good father and brother. Tsss.

"I won't allow it, Juan Hideo. Race is mine! Ang akin ay akin lamang!" Madamdamin kong pahayag. He walked towards me and poked me in the forehead.

"Stop watching dramas, will you? You can't do anything about it. It's not your decision to make. Besides, Race already agreed, princess. For your own safety." Lumamlam ang kanyang mga mata na tila nakiki-simpatya. Juan Hideo may be a lot of things but one thing is sure, he's always a brother on me and he love me so dearly.

Oh my poor Captain. Just hold on. This time, I'll be your savior.

"Why the fvck did you agree?!" Trekk yelled upon entering my room.

"Bro! Can't you knock?!" Nagkumahog akong magsuot ng sweat pants. For Pete's sake, I'm naked!

"Answer me, you dimwit! Bakit ka pumayag sa gusto ng matandang hukluban na yon?!" He is fuming mad.

"Just because." I plainly reply.

"The fvck?! You knew whom he will marry you to! They are a family of an addict! Oh bro, he wants you to be an addict too!"

"That won't happen. My mom will surely hunt me down if ever." I tried to joke but he remain passive.

"Bro.. please. Don't do this. You may be a pain in the ass but you're the only family I have aside my mom. Masira na ako, wag lang ikaw." His features softened as he said those words. I get how concern he is for ky welfare. I know as a brother, mahal niya ako. But I can't bear to see someone I love be hurt again. Tama na yung muntik na mangyari kay Hiraya. I was helpless. It's like reality slapped me hard that I will never be good for her. I can't even protect her, goddamnit. So I talked to my dad. And he gave me that deal. I agreed without remorse. I agreed with his promise never to hurt my love, my mom, my brother and his mother. His evilness must end. And if I'm gonna have power by marrying a drug Lord's daughter, so be it. I can end everything one I'm on top. But for now, I need to sacrifice. Sacrifice my love for their own good. I hope this would end well.

I looked ata frame on my bedside table. Hiraya is smiling like everything around her is blissfully wonderful. I can't bear to see her torn and suffering.

I reached for it and caressed it.

"This will soon be over, my queen. Just hold on. This time, I will be your savior."
