As we headed down to the kitchen, I heard people outside. The open windows allowed me to hear men and women talking. They were talking about the rogue attack and something else. I paused a minute when I heard my name. They were talking about me. About how I had saved that little boy, Brian. I found myself trying to listen in but Logan was pulling me further away.

After lunch, Logan had to go finish some chores and I was allowed to explore a little bit. I was given a room to stay in for the week and was excited to explore it. It was the type of room you'd see in cabins. The bed looked like it was made out of logs and the quilt covers were very comforting. The walls were a deep green and the other furniture matched the style of the bed. A fireplace was set into the wall across from the bed with a little fire going. It was a cozy room and I immediately liked it.

I went to the closet to look for something to wear other than this borrowed dress and found it empty. I sighed and went to the cabinet above the fireplace. The warmth of the fire felt good. It was starting to get chilly outside and all I had was a dress that was meant for summer. I opened the cabinet doors and found a TV inside. Maybe watching some TV would pass the time.

A knock at the door caught my attention and I went to open it  A girl about my age sauntered in with a notebook and pen. She wore these cute brown boots with little gold buttons on them. Blue skinny jeans were neatly tucked into said boots with an orange sweater tucked into the jeans. A brown and gold scarf finished off the look. She looked very cozy and I was somewhat jealous.

"Hey, my name is Kennedy, I'm Logan's cousin. He said you'd need some clothes to wear?" She smiled brightly at me. "You must be freezing in that."

"Oh, ya, I just checked the closet for something warmer. All I found was an empty closet." I laughed nervously.

"I'm sorry, I was supposed to go shopping this morning for you but with the rogue attack, Logan didn't want anyone leaving pack territory for a while. But I'm here to take your measurements and any requests on what you'd like me to buy." Kennedy said looking me over. I blushed in embarrassment. I hated shopping. I was that awkward size where things either looked too big or too small on me.

"I can go get my clothes from home. I have plenty of nice warm things to wear in my closet." I said looking away.

"Logan won't let you leave. Besides he wants to spoil you. Let him. I haven't seen him this happy in a long time." Kennedy laughed. "Now what do you prefer? Sweaters, sweatshirts? Long sleeve tops? Skirts, dresses? Pants?"

"Anything that's cheap and warm." I said. I had never really had money to go out and buy much. The money I made in high school was taken by my foster mom to pay off the drug dealer that came to collect the money my foster brother owed him. Then all that was left of my money went into paying for an apartment. Clothes were the last things on my list of important things to get.

"Don't worry about pricing. If you could have anything in the world to wear, what would it be?" She said taking a seat by the fireplace.

"Uh, I really like the sweater you're wearing." I said not feeling comfortable with asking a complete stranger for new clothes.

"Zoe, I can see you holding back. It's really ok. Logan wants to spoil you. He's been waiting a long time for this." Kennedy said giving me a small smile.

"I just don't feel comfortable with it." I said taking the seat across from her.

"Ok, so you like my style. I can work with that." She said writing down something on her notepad. "Now your measurements."

She got up and went to work on measuring me. When she left I buried my face in my hands and groaned. That was mortifying! She even took my bra size! I let out a louder groan and stood up. I looked at the bed, glad to be alone again. It wasn't late but with winter approaching quickly, it was already getting dark out. I wonder if Kennedy was going out tonight or if she would go tomorrow.

I shook my head and climbed into bed. I was too tired to really focus on that. I did focus on how soft the bed was though. The covers were warm and I cocooned myself in the warm quilts. I faintly hear knocking on my door as I slipped away.

When I woke up, I found my closet filled with new clothes. I walked into the bathroom and found toiletries. I walked out to my dresser and found it with so many pairs of undergarments that it made me wonder how much was spent on all of this. I had to talk to Logan about this.

I showered and pulled on a sweater and jeans and headed for the kitchen. I wasn't going to skip breakfast! But when I walked in, there were men all sitting all around the table and at the counter. They all turned to look at me and suddenly I felt not so hungry.

"Little Luna!" Brody shouted from the table. His mouth was full of food as he smiled brightly at me. "How ya feelin'?"

A few of the men were eyeing me and I didn't like the attention. I felt a hand on my shoulder and a deep growl filled the room. I jumped and turned to see Logan glaring at the men.

"Sorry Alpha." Echoed the kitchen as the men turned and started shoveling food into their mouths. Logan took my hand and led me away.

"Logan?" I said pulling my hand away. "We have to talk about what you're spending on me."

He nodded and took my hand again, leading me to his office. It was a lot tidier than yesterday. He sat down behind his desk and scribbled on a piece of paper.

What did you want to say about my spending?

"You need to not spend so much on me. I only needed a few clothes not a whole closet full. I don't need all those things. I appreciate the kind offer but it's a bit much." I said slipping the paper back to him.

They're just clothes, you'll enjoy them. Besides I think Kennedy did a great job.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked looking up only to find him looking me over. I blushed again and cleared my throat. "Still it's a lot of money spent on someone who may only be here for a week."

Logan let out a growl and scribbled quickly.

I will win you over. I won't let you go that easily. Keep an open mind Zoe.

I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. Even if he can't speak to me, he's right. I did say I'd have an open mind to him. If this is what he wants fine. "Alright, fine. You wanna waste your money on me that's your own doing. Don't blame me when you run out of money."

He smiled and I noticed his chest moving. He was laughing. Part of me wished I could hear what his laugh would have been like.

It's not a waste nor am I going to run out of money.

"Whatever." I pretended to not care but I found his statement sweet. "So what do you have planned for our first day?"

He smirked and scribbled his answer down. He then folded it up and slipped it into his pocket. What was he doing? He got up and offered me a hand. I raised an eyebrow and gave him a look. A normal smile replaced his smirk. I sighed and took his hand.

"I'm not allowed to know what we're doing today?" I asked. He shook his head and led me out of the office. "Can we at least get breakfast?"
