ESCAPE

Schilla pulls her away from her thoughts with her loud screeching voice. "You have to release your powers, unleash your potentials"
"So, you would kill me?" she stares at Schilla suspiciously then breaks into a mischievous smile. "I will co-operate if you are willing to" she folds her arms and continues "do not take me back into that cave, I am not an animal like you and do not try to turn me into one" Schilla growls, clearly angry at her rude behavior. She relaxes and masks face with a grin "you will be released and taken to a room but you will also be bound in the room." she turns away "no matter where you are, you will still be a caged animal, get used to it"

Maurinette stares at her, boiling with anger, she pounces on Schilla, pulling her long grey hair which was barely attached to her skull, Schilla screams in pain "you crazy witch, you cannot keep me locked away. You all are insane, maniacs" suddenly, she releases her grip on Schilla when she feels a sharp pain at the back of her head, she groans and turns around. She sees a man with an iron jar on his hand, stained with her blood
"You---are ---- all ---monsters" everything becomes murky, she rests on the long table 'oh, not again'
She falls on the floor, unconscious.

Gilbert drops the jar "take her away" the guards lift her up and takes her away, Joseph walks to him
"If she is dead, there would be no sacrifice and we will be trapped with this bloody curse" he walks away.

Rogan sees Gilbert behind a tree, laughing and talking secretly with someone. He walks to him quietly, trying to find out who he is with. He hides besides another tree, letting the darkness cover him.

He breaks into a mischievous grin when he sees Gilbert with a young woman. Gilbert holds her on her waist while she leans on him, whispering something to her as she laughs loudly
"I wonder what Michelle would say about your little night trip with this stunning young lady" he says mockingly. Gilbert turns around immediately, startled. He pushes her away and clears his throat
"Rogan, you have been released. Father has finally listened to my plea"
Rogan raises his hands in a gesture of frustration "don't give me that crap, Gilbert"
he walks closer to Gilbert, who tries as much as he can to look confident and not scared to death. "This is gonna be interesting" he rubs his hands
"I suspected something was wrong but I never quite placed my finger on it. If you do not want Michelle or the entire clan to know about your little night trips, you'll have to behave"
"Is this a threat" Gilbert says, trying to be as intimidating as he can
"Oh no no no, it isn't a threat. It's my lottery ticket" he smirks and walks away
He turns around "oh and, please continue. Don't mind my interruption" he winks at the woman and leaves

Rogan's cool behavior was definitely a facade. He was boiling hot from anger, he walked fast, practically running when he stops and turns around
"Rogan" Joseph calls out to him
Rogan forces a smile
"Joseph" he replies mockingly which seemed to upset Joseph "I have thought of something that will make you useful to yourself and everyone." Rogan stares at him confused and he continues
"you will watch over the loarin and ensure she doesn't escape"
"I cannot be a baby sitter to a maniac, she is crazy"
"I guess that's what you both have in common" Joseph replies, sad but calm. He leaves.
Rogan rams his fist into the closest thing near by which is the wind shield of a truck, The glass shatters. "Shit" he mutters as he looks around to see if anyone had saw him, he carefully steps back and leaves.

Maurinette wakes up and finds herself in a room, on a bed. She looks around the room. Terrified by the stuffed very realistic animals hung on the wall. There were skulls  and blood drawings on the wall. The room looked liked like a shrine, she tries to stand up but something holds her back.
She was tied to the bed. She groans in frustration
"Who is out there" she hears footsteps but no one responds, she rolls her eyes. "Think Maurinette, if you do not want to be killed like an animal" she looks around the room, trying to find anything she could use to cut the rope. Someone opens the door and she lies down on the bed.
"Thought you might need something to eat" Rogan walks to her, holding a plate of food in one hand and his other in his trouser pocket."i don't need anything from you, just let me go"
"Sorry daisy but I can't do that"
"Daisy?"
He chuckles and points at her night dress "it's all over your dress"
"How observant" she says mockingly while rolling her eyes. "At least untie me, after all, am locked up and guarded."
He rubs the back of his neck with his hand "I don't know" he say unsure
She moves closer to him "come ------on, I'll behave" she says in a seductive way.
"Fine, but don't try anything funny or i'll personally tie you to the ceiling" he says, trying to intimidate her while he unties her
"Thank you" she smiles as she rubs her wrist.

Kalvin and Sidney returns home and sees the front door on the floor, shredded. They stare at each other in horror as the run into the house
"Maurinette, baby" Sidney runs up the stairs into her room and sees the whole room in ruins, she covers her mouth in terror
"My baby" she screams and Kalvin runs up and sees Maurinette's room scattered and a trail of blood on the floor
"I'll call the police" he leaves. Sidney staggers to the bed, she sits on it and wraps the bed sheet on her body.
"Maurinette" hot tears flow from her eyes. "Please no, I cannot lose you. My baby, Maurinette " she lies on the bed, still crying into the bed sheet

The police storms the house in few minutes. Kalvin leads them to the room. They start working, taking evidences and writing notes. A police man walks to Kalvin.
"We need your co-operation if we have to find your daughter's murderer"
"Murderer?" Sidney stands and walks to the police
"My daughter is not dead. What makes you say so, did you see her body" the police nods, regretful of what he had said
"Do your job and get my daughter back and do not make assumptions" she storms out of the room crying while Kalvin follows her to comfort her. The police officer walks to the others who are investigating and taking as much evidence as they can.
"Clear the room and get rid of every incriminating evidences. We do not want to attract the state's police force here" they nod as he walks away

Maurinette is sleeping when someone walks into the room. The person caresses her bare legs till she jumps off the bed, screaming. She sees Schilla smiling at her.
"You are awake"
"What do you want from me"
"Hold her down" two huge men walks to Maurinette and holds her down to the bed. Schilla walks to her
"This will hurt but think of it, as  preparation for worse things" she breaks into an evil smile. She opens her raggedy dirty bag and brings out tiny needles. Maurinette Screams when she sees the needles
"Please no, no don't I. beg you" Schilla walks to her and bends over her. She picks a needle and digs it into Maurinette's arm, she screams in pain as blood oozes out
"I would put you to sleep first but I would rather hear you scream in pain" she digs another one into her skin. The quiet night is filled with Maurinette's scream, the people ignores her screams. Sad and sorry for her but they couldn't possibly do anything.
Suddenly the door breaks and Rogan rushes in "what the hell are you doing"
"This does not concern you, go and rest"
"It does concern me, she was left under my care"
"Fine, this is to enable her unleash her powers"
"Is this the only possible way"
Schilla laughs "this might not even be a way, am trying options here" Rogan looks at her in disgust, hie takes his attention to Maurinette who lay on the bed, whimpering. Hot tears flowing from her eyes.
"Mom please help me" she murmurs weakly "take me away, I can't take this pain" everything becomes blurry. For the first time, she looked forward to being unconscious. She slowly looses herself.

Rogan places his both hands on his waist, pacing restlessly. He stops and darts his eyes at Joseph "is that the only possible way to unleash her powers."
"This is what must be done"
"She is a human who was taken away from her parents and now has needles sticking from her body. At what expense is this cruelty?"
"Her sacrifice can save many more lives"
"That witch doesn't even know what she is doing. This is wrong"

Maurinette wakes up, She groans in pain.
"Oh God" she tries to stand up, dried blood sticks to her skin and dress. She staggers to the door and tries to open it, surprisingly it opens and she  peeps through it. She finds no one and slowly slips out of the room, she increases her pace as she runs deeper into the forest. She stops when she hears howls, she turns around "oh no, I am lost" she runs faster when the howls become louder.

"Rogan, you fool. How could you let her escape"
"Maybe if you didn't stick needles into her, she won't be hell bent on running away"
Rogan runs into the forest, he jumps up, landing into a viscous beast as he continues running
Maurinette hears the sound of a water fall, she increases her pace, looking back regularly to see if they were still chasing her. Her path ends when she climbs up the cliff, she turns to go back when she sees two were wolves walking slowly towards her. She turns around and stares at the water fall then at the monsters, contemplating on where to go.
"Hell no, am not going back there"
She jumps into the water fall, the strong current tosses her about, taking her deep into the water. She reaches out to hold a rock and pulls herself up. She quickly swims out, She looks up and sees the were wolves staring at her on the cliff. She smiles "afraid of the water?". Her hoarse breathing slowly calms down.

Suddenly, Maurinette flies into the sky, landing on the bare ground with her back, She screams in pain. In a gush of wind she sees herself lifting from the ground. She was being strangled
"Well well, what do we have here Edwin, a trespasser" Redmond grins.
