CONSEQUENCE

Maurinette struggles to release herself from his death grip, she scratches his hands, kicks him but he didn't seem to budge. She felt life slowly been sucked away from her
"Am I really gonna die like this, didn't even get to tell mom goodbye" she drifts into space as she slowly stops fighting. He loosens his grip, just then adrenaline rushes in her and she kicks him hard on his crotch which sends him to the floor. She stands up and runs, not looking back.
Redmond curves himself into a semi circle as he swore under his breath
"You are gonna pay for that"
Edwin tries to chase her and Redmond stops him.
"Edwin. I'll take care of that bitch myself" he stands up.
Her speed being no match for his, he catches up to her in seconds and grips her tightly on her biceps. She turns around forcefully, making him loose his grip on her as she punches him in the face, he staggers. Amazed at her own strength, she steps back
"please leave me alone, I'll leave quietly"
"The chance for compromises was long gone baby" he rushes to her and bends her arm behind her back. She struggles, trying to free herself from the terrible pain.
She finds herself at the back of his neck and his head in between her legs. She crosses her legs and traps his head in her legs, he tries to loosen her legs' grip but she only tightens it, like an anaconda suffocating it's prey and breaking every bone in it's body.
She forcefully moves her body and falls to the ground. The force snaps his neck and his lifeless body lay on her leg.
She slowly looses herself and crawls to a tree, trying to catch her breath. She stares at his body and covers her mouth in horror
" I killed him, oh no. No no, this isn't happening"
Maurinette feels a gush of wind and Edwin appears, he stares at Redmond's body then turns to gaze at her "you killed him" he says in a question tone rather than a statement, he runs to her and lifts her up by her shoulder. His fingers dig into her skin and then the pressure he exacted on her skin disappears. She opens her eyes which had been shut since he ran to her and she sees a were wolf, fighting with him.
She steps back, watching them afar. Edwin pulls the wolf into a deadly hug, crushing it's ribs as he tightens his grip.
He sinks his teeth into the wolf's fore leg and drags his teeth through its flesh, taking chunks of its flesh in his mouth. The wolf howls in pain, it grabs Edwin's hand and pulls it, removing it from its socket. Edwin falls to the ground and the wolf pounces on him, biting his head off.
He limps to a tree, Maurinette walks to the tree and sees Rogan bleeding profusely. She raises her hand to help him but she stops
'He and those monsters are responsible for everything happening to me. They made me kill someone, although I do not know how on earth I did that. He will slow me down and they would get me and take me back to that witch'
She thought to herself then walks away slowly. He groans in pain as he tries to stand but falls down hard on the ground. She sighs in frustration and mutters while walking back to him "He saved my life. Curse my conscience" she kneels besides him, and adds pressure to the injury, he moves slightly away from her. "I was a volunteer for the health agency when I was in high school, I know what I am doing"
She rips her dress and ties the injury tightly as he stares at her. She could feel his eyes boring a hole into her face, she turns to him. "Can you stop staring"
"Am not sure I can, you did that" he points at Redmond
"maybe incredible strength is one of your traits too because wolves find it hard to kill a vampire and escape with their life but you just snapped his neck like a twig. How did you do that"
"I don't know what happened" she tucks a strand of her hair behind her ear
"That was so hot" she presses his injured leg and he groans"
"Hot enough" she smiles and stands
"Have to go now"
"You cannot go, you have to come with me to the clan"
"I don't see that happening" she walks away, without turning back as he calls her.

"Bring his body"
Two guards carry a body, covered with a white linen fabric into the court room and drops it before Darian. He carefully removes the cloth and sees the lifeless body. He covers it in disgust.
"What did this Hanos?"
Hanos is the kings adviser, he had been by his side for as long as Darian was king. He is the king's most loyal servant and friend. Hanos is a short man with reddish brown hair which seemed to match perfectly with his red eyes. He is a very logical and sometimes cold hearted as people might say.
"Redmond was not killed by a were wolf, I have never seen any thing that has the power to snap a vampire's neck like that" he points at the body
"Were wolves chew off the head or at least you see bite marks but there are none. Edwin was beheaded and there are bite marks on his neck."
"What did this then"
"I can only think of one logical but yet illogical idea. A human"
"Human? No human can kill a vampire with its hands"
"Perhaps Redmond was drunk"
Darian chuckles "Redmond is the strongest when he is drunk"
