"There must have been a mistake in your ship settings Princess because I am definitely, 100% HUMAN!"

~ Your POV ~

A few weeks later

It's been a few weeks since I had arrived on the ship and things were finally looking up for me. I had made lots of friends here, all of which we share a unique bond.

Allura was my best friend by far. She's so caring and kind and lends me her dresses and is very overprotective.

Coran is like a wacky uncle and makes everybody laugh.

Hunk is my fellow food lover. We sometimes spend whole days just baking new recipes, although nobody actually gets a chance to see these creations as they are devoured in seconds.

Pidge is so smart in everything he does! He's always fiddling with his laptop and wanting to know more about these so called powers I now have but I can't tell him. To me they're more like a curse.

Lance is hilarious! The first few days were full of flirty remarks but after that, he's realised I'm not interested. Now we are more like siblings! He tells me what has been happening on Earth the last year or so and I tell him about space, it's a win-win situation.

Shiro has been really kind to me. We've been training with each other, his Galra hand vs my Double-Bladed Polearm (google it). I'm a pretty good fighter without using my curse so it helps a lot. He's cared for me just like a father or older brother would, however he's a bit more distant when I try to approach Keith.

Ever since our little outburst during questioning, Keith has shut me out and I don't blame him. What I did that day was horrible. We had been friends our entire life and we became even closer when I was placed in the Orphanage. All those years of happy memories were shattered the instant I raised my hand against him. The guilt hadn't left me even in prison.

It was nearing night time and I was ready for some much needed rest. The Paladins had been super supportive to me, helping me deal with my nightmares. I had told them they had calmed down and I would be fine alone but I lied. True, they had been less violent but now the voices were back inside my head, even during the day, constantly reminding me that I'm a monster, a savage beast, a failed experiment that exceeded their control...

A time bomb waiting to explode.

I stirred the next morning to Allura shaking my shoulders in a desperate attempt to wake me but we all knew that was never going to happen.

"Wake up (Y/N), today's the day! We only have an hour!"

Today? What was today again? Oh yeah, the ball for the Arusians... the ball... soon... my dress...

"Wait What?!" I screamed, "That's today?"

"Yes and we only have an hour to get you ready, now come on!"

That one hour was the longest and worst hour of my life. Wait, I take that back. It was the second longest and worst. Various shades of a large array of makeup were carefully blended on my face, my hair delicately braided with loose strands curled downwards and a deep wine red gown was fitted. It's not that I don't like makeup and extravagant dresses but for a buffet party with tiny aliens, this is too much!

The party had started before me and arrived. Everywhere I looked little Arusians were hapily chatting away. Keith and Lance were drinking the 'Nectar of the Gods' and soon spat it out. Hunk pointed at me before they turned heads and gazed. Suddenly feeling uncomfortable with the stares I hastily made my way down towards them.
