Time Bomb! (Keith x Reader!)

Chapter 6

A static noise began to fill my ears as my senses were kicked back to life. Faint words made their way in between the interference from the Galra crystal that was installed.

(Y/N) are you there

Are you okay

Please help us

We're in the control ro- AGHHHH

The voices were familiar and cut short. Lance, Pidge and Keith are all on the line, in desperate need of my help. The last one was without a doubt Shiro though.

"Shiro?! Guys what happened?!"

"(Y/N) is that you? Are you alright?"

This time it was Keith on the line.

"Sendak took over the castle and he's got the others in the control room. The particle barrier is up so i'm not sure how you could get in. What about the village?"

"It was a distraction," He sighed. "For now just keep your guard up and go spy on them. Try not to get hurt but we need to save them. I'm sending you a map of the castle now just in case."

My wristband beeped and a holographic 3D image of the ship appeared with a purple dot where I was and the paladins colours where they were. The control room was on the top floor, right next to two of the 4 towers accessing all floors. Slowly hauling myself off the metallic ground, I realised what the fight with Sendak had really done to me. Physically I was okay, thanks to the experiments I regenerated quickly. However, mentally I was not. His tormenting about my powers and other form got to me, I could feel my dark side banging against my head, begging to be released. There was a reason I was called Time Bomb and I didn't need anyone to know why.

One of the towers wasn't to far from where I was so that was where I began.

It was quiet...

Too quiet

My boots tapped against the metallic stairs and echoed throughout. So much for the element of surprise. Three floors had passed and still no sign of any Galra troops. On the fifth floor was the training deck. Quickly making sure the coast was clear, I darted in and out at the speed of light, grabbing a spare Bayard. This particular one was my favourite; it was white, purple and could transform into a bow or a sword depending on what range the combat was. It was so cool! Luckily, no one was around to see my super speed, not even the cameras would've caught it. Let's just say that I would definitely win the 100m sprint from now on!

I pressed further on up the last flight of stairs, the control room was now just behind this archway. Slowly edging my head around the edge, I glanced towards the hostage room.

Empty

"Keith, I've found them." I spoke into my helmet.

"Okay be careful" He spoke back.

The room was completely empty except for my teammates tied up in the corner.

"Guys! Thank goodness you're all okay!" I scanned my eyes over them to realise what I had just said was unfortunately false for two of the paladins. "Shiro! Oh my goodness what happened to your side?! How's Lance doing, Pidge?"

"He's still unconscious" He sighed.

Shiro grunted slightly. His arms were tied forcefully behind his back, preventing him from stopping some of the blood flow from a gash just below his ribs. Immediately springing to action, I ripped both of the legs off of my leggings turning them into shorts. I folded one up and pressed it to his wound before wrapping the other around it to secure it.

"There we go! That should stop the blood for now but we need to get you all out of here. Shiro can you stand?" There was no response from him. I lifted his face to meet mine. I stared into his gorgeous eyes as they slowly opened. "Shiro can you hear me? I'm going to get you out of here."

His eyes gazed into mine before darting quickly behind me. I turned and blocked an oncoming attack from Sendak's arm with my shield. He was standing in the doorway of the exit tower surrounded by sentry soldiers.

"Allura, How do I shut off the particle barrier?" I shouted down the mic.

"Place your hands on the control panel and touch the red button that will appear. Then after three minutes it will shut down."

I nodded my head and started slicing through the robots towards the panel. I was becoming increasingly overwhelmed as they forced me back towards another tower. I switched to my bow and drew back an arrow ready. With a giant leap off of the floor, I somersaulted over the group of foes and shot it towards the middle. The arrow exploded and disabled the robots like a stone rippling through water. Landing on my feet next to the control panel, I placed my hands onto it and hit the red button. A large countdown was projected onto the particle barrier for Keith and Allura to see.

My attention was brought back to the room when Hunk shouted my name.

"(Y/N) look out behind you!"

I whipped my knee length hair around just as a sentry sword sliced through it, cutting it to waist height.

"Hey! I liked it like that!" I screamed.

"I don't care! You will release Time Bomb whether you like it or not!"

I growled silently. His arm began to attack me but I blocked most of the hits, the few I didn't sending me back a few paces towards the door.

I was cornered in the tower and the only way out was up towards the roof. I scrambled out of the hatch and onto the shiny white surface. Sendak erupted through the glass and our weapons met with a deafening clang.

"(Y/N) what are you doing up there?!"

Keith was screaming at me through the intercom but I zoned him out. I was enraged that he hurt my teammates, ruined the ball, terrorized the Arusians and destroyed planets alongside Zarkon. I was completely in the zone and could feel my other half crawling out from the depths of hell. I was fighting for control of myself and Sendak, both keeping me busy and distracted.

"Maybe a little shock will help release your true strength?" Sendak smirked and launched me off of the roof towards the barrier.

We collided and a sharp bolt of electricity burst through me. It felt as though my insides were being ripped to shreds from all angles, all of the ships energy was being directed towards me like I was a metal rod in a lightning storm. I released a heart wrenching scream that sent chills down anybody nearby. With one last jolt I fell many feet down to the cold hard dirt of Arus.

My vision was blurry and my head spun but my insides soon regenerated and a new surge of power flooded through me like a tsunami. My skin turned a deathly purple, eyes glowed a haunting yellow and my hands turned to claws as Time Bomb was released. Fire erupted from beneath my feet and engulfed me before settling into my hands.
