Time Bomb! (Keith x Reader!)

Chapter 9

~Keith's POV~

I was currently laying on the floor of the infirmary staring at the ceiling, attempting to drown out the noise of arguing about when Lance will wake up. My mind had wandered elsewhere. First to memories of my childhood, then the garrison and then events in the past month or so. Suddenly a faint fizz was heard and Lance emerged.

"Hey Lance!" Hunk said hugging him.

"What happened?"

"We can tell you all about it while you get something to eat. Are you able to walk?" Allura commented.

"Talking? Eating? Are you asking me out on a date?"

"Yeup, he's okay"

"Yeah, there it is"

"Classic"

We were now in the dining hall where Lance was shoving goo in his face.

Disgusting

"This is great! Thanks everybody. Sounds like the mice did more than you though.

"I punched Sendak!" I shouted.

"Yeah, apparently after I emerged from a coma and shot his arm off"

I stared in disbelief. "We had a bonding moment! I cradled you in my arms!"

"Nope. Don't remember. Didn't happen. Besides the only bonding you've done this past month is with (Y/N)!"

"Oh good one Lance" Hunk smirked whilst I glared at him. Have I really been rejecting the team that much?!

"So what happened to Sendak?"

"He's frozen in a cyro-pod. He's too dangerous to be set free and we may be able to gain info on Zarkon from him" Allura informed.

"And what about (Y/N)?"

"Um... She's still in the infirmary healing. Her... outburst... done quite the bit of damage on both her and Arus."

I could tell by Allura's tone that she was fuming about the whole situation.

"So what's the plan now?" I asked.

"We have to get back to the Balmera and save Shay and her people. Zarkon has destroyed their home - they don't even know what it's like to be free! It's up to us to set this right. This is what being a Paladin of Voltron is all about. It's time to man up!"

"Then let's get moving. Time to defend the universe"

"Wait! There is something I need to tell you all. There can't be secrets anymore so I can't man up... I'm a girl. Well technically I can still man up as it's a figure of speech but yeah" Stuttered Pidge.

"Don't worry we all knew that!" Coran assured.

She sighed heavily. "Now lets launch this Castleship!"

"Pidge is a girl and the Castle is a ship? How long was I out?"

"Hold up guys! What about (Y/N)? We can't just ignore the fact that she's been there like a gazillion ticks!"

"Keith we can't do anything right now. The best option is to go save these people. I understand that you are scared for her but she'll make it" Shiro reached out to my shoulder.

"NO! You don't understand Shiro" I said, smacking his hand away before storming out.

Once I was out the door, I slumped against it, breathing a heavy sigh.
