She stared down at you, with a sharp spear head at your bare throat. Your breath seemed to get stuck in your throat, and finally she opened her mouth.
"Did you really think I would trust you? The killer?" You gulped, a shaky breath leaving your lips as her hair brushed against your face. "Well guess what, you're not so strong now, weak under my spear. I could kill you, make you scream."
"Then do it. Get it over with, like you said; I'm a killer, I've got nothing to live for." She hesitated at this, and took a moment to really look into your eyes, pushing through the blood lust and the fear of death. And inside she saw what she also felt, terrified, rejected and cold. But you were human, and so was she.
And then she pulled the spear away from your neck, taking your hand and yanking you up off the ground.
"Not today, the world has more in store for you." But in reality, she knew the reason she had let you survive, was because she needed you to survive- in her heart.
