"HEY JAHA, IT LOOKS LIKE YOU'VE BEEN FLOATED."
You turned towards the older man, cheering as he floated in the middle of the lake.
The light laugh came from behind you, Harper hooking her thumbs into the belt that wrapped around her thin waist. She was the definition of beauty, confident, caring, and protective. And with a kind smile that could make your knee's buckle, you were like putty in her hands.
"Good job Y/N." She slid up beside you, a large grin covering her joyful face. You tried to hide the blush that grew upon your cheeks, crimson against your skin. You shook your head gently, looking down slightly, as you tried to play off the praise.
"It was nothing. Jasper did the most work." She looked at you, the smile still tugging at her lips as she stepped closer.
"Don't try and deny what you did Y/N." She stopped for a moment, tucking a loose strand of hair behind your ear. "You brought people in this camp joy, if not only for a moment. You should be proud of that. You made people laugh, to smile."
You felt your cheeks burn, but you looked up at her for a small moment, noticing how her eyes were mesmerized by your face.
And then she leaned in, placing a soft and swift kiss on your lips, mouth warm against yours. You felt her pull away slightly, but before she could leave you to feel dizzy and weak with shock, you surprised her by carefully placing a hand on her shoulder and kissing her deeper.
