With your sword strapped to your side, you rode along side Lexa, the young commander calling out commands to the many troops that marched behind the two of you. You could see the fear in the young woman's eyes, the pain that was seeping into the lines of her face.

"You're worrying about something." She jolted out of her commanding mood, eyes catching your face before looking away. She shook her head, the hard look in her eyes appearing once again, blocking out your concern.

"No, I'm not." You huffed slightly, letting the stubborn woman go silent and pushing your gaze down, so it was away from her face and instead searching the hills for enemies.

Hours passed, and blood was drawn from each side. The loyal warriors that followed the commander were injured to varying degrees, but the weak Skai Kru had fallen against the army. You thought that everything was panning out okay, Lexa was safe, the threat was defeated- until you felt that sharp feeling in your stomach.

You looked down to see a bullet wound gaping open on your stomach, the crimson liquid leaking from your body and staining your clothes.

Silently, you fell to the ground, unaware of the various grounder's running to your aid. The world around you started to fade, the waves of pain hitting your body fiercely, and it took everything in you not to scream at the unfamiliar feeling that sucked the light out of you.

"Alli-a, keep your eyes open. Please, stay with me." You heard Lexa beside you, her hand gripping yours tightly like she would never let go.

"It hurts Heda." You garbled over the words, blood starting to pool in your mouth as Lexa screamed for someone to help you. But soon it was too late, and your breathe shuddered through dry lips.

"No, no. Hold on Alli-a. You have to hold on. I need you to hold on." Her words echoed around you, but you were still lying there, bleeding out.

"You have to hang on, I love you now just hang on, you'll be alright. Please, I love you."

That was the last sentence that left the commander's lips, as she witnessed the light that fled your eyes and your chest stop moving lightly.

She stood back at that, taking one final glimpse at your dead body, before taking back her hard facade and turning away to flee the area.

You were gone- and that was all she was worried about.

Losing you.
