"Wait, Luna just wait!" The wild haired girl stopped walking, a small sigh leaving her lips as Hailey called her back.
"I need to go, I need to protect my people." The other girl ran to stand beside her, looking at her love with all the passion and the admiration she could muster.
"Luna, please stay. I know you want to save everyone, but sometimes you can't. Just please stay with me, I love you god damn it." Hailey froze at that moment, not fully comprehending what she had blurted from her mouth.
"You love me?" Luna stood there, wide eyed and shocked. She looked right at Hailey, trying to find any hints that she was lying, or even joking. But Luna found none.
"I do Luna. Everything you do, whether it be saving your people or standing up for what you believe is right, that makes me love you so much."
And with that Luna moved closer, looking down slightly as she wrapped an arm around Hailey's waist. The leader of the boat people leaned in to press her lips to the other woman's, smiling slightly when she responded to.
"I love you to Hailey. I really do."
