"What are you smiling at Monty Green?" His gaze flickered to you, before looking back up to the roof of the Ark. His grin was contagious, making you and Bellamy both smile, looking at the teen as his eyes glowed with wonder.
"The rain." You chuckled at that, walking closer to the Green boy until you were nearly centimeters apart. His hand found yours, giving it a light squeeze as he kept smiling and the rain kept falling.
"The rain reminds me of life." You looked at him again, eyebrows drawn together as his gaze drifted down to you. "Life needs water to survive, and when the rain comes, we know, deep down that everything will be alright."
"I'll get some people to collect as much water as we can, make sure our 'life' is preserved." Bellamy left the room then, leaving the two of you to stand together under the metal roof, the pounding of the rain turning into peaceful music.
"What did I do to deserve you, Monty? Out of all this darkness, the possibility of death looming over us- an you're still able to see the good in everything." He shook his head lightly, a hand cupping your cheek and his eyes melting as he gazed at you.
"I see positivity in everything, because you are the most positive thing in my life. It's me who should be asking how I deserve you." And then he kissed you, soft and sweet as the rain fell and the sky darkened, hands finding each other in the dimming light as the two of you found life in each other.
