Sans' POV
"Pass me the ketchup Sans!" Frisk said with a smile.

I smiled as I planned a prank.

I made the cap loose and passed it to Frisk. "Here you go."

She smiled and took it. Somehow our hands lightly brushed and I immediately blushed and looked away.

She didn't seem to notice as she tilted the bottle on her fries and spilled all over it.

I snickered and she glared at me.

"Sorry, you can have mine." I say and pushed my try towards.

She rolled her eyes an ate one.

Her mouth's sides tugged upwards and ate more. Her eyes might have been closed but I'm sure they're filled with excitement.

I lightly laughed at her adorable expressions and antics.

Footsteps echoing the corridors snapped me into reality.

I looked up and saw the familiar human with her head down.

She looked up to me with her hazel brown eyes open, flashing red for a few seconds, and smile seemed too wide that it was creepily beautiful.

I said my lines as the battle started.

She was unprepared and died almost immediately.

She screemed in pain when a femur went through her stomach.

She started to fall and my instincts made me teleport underneath her then caught her before she hit the ground.

"Sans..." she mumbled.

I saw blue tears drop on her bloody face as I tried to speak. "W-what?" I stuttered.

"I'm sorry... I won't do it again... I..." she blurted out as her tears spilled.

"Shh... it's okay..." I shushed her.

No, it's not. But I can't handle it whenever she cries.

"I promise the next run will be better..." she said with determination in her voice.

"It doesn't matter..." I say.

"I promise..." she said as she slipped her hand on the RESET button.

I woke up at the sentry in Snowdin.

I remember falling asleep here.

Just then I heard the Ruins door open.

I immediately teleported to the door.

I saw a tanned skin girl with short brown hair. She wore a blue and purple sweater with brown denim shorts. She had black knee socks under her brown boots.

She looked familiar.

I decided to creep her out.

When she finally reached the bridge, I decided to confront her.

"H U M A N." I said with a low voice.

She immediately turned with teary eyes. Her lips twitched and she grit her teeth.

I lent out my hand.

"Sans!!!" she shouted and hugged me.

She knows me. She hugged me.

I didn't know what was happening but couldn't help hugging her back.

She cried and cried until I felt my jacket and shirt wet.

I didn't notice myself crying a I tried calming her down.

It was wrong to fraternize with a human, yet it felt so right.

She pulled away and tried her best to smile to show she was okay. Though she failed desperately and ended up with a weird expression.

I chuckled and wiped her tears. I held her cheeks and stared at her closed eyes. She slowly opened it to reveal hazel brown eyes.

Some moments flashed like forgotten dreams. All of them with this human. Either laughing with her and hanging out, or fighting each other and crying right after. I couldn't hear anything, only my voice screaming, shouting, saying, whispering, mumbling, moaning, gasping, stuttering one name.

"Frisk..." I mumbled out as I felt more tears come out of my eye sockets.

She smiled and wiped my tears.

"I knew you'd remember." she said with a smile I ended up mimicking myself.

"I promised." she said.

She leaned upwards towards me colliding her lips with mine.

I found myself kissing back.

It felt so right, like I'm used to being with this human named Frisk.

"I love you." she said after parting.

"I love you too..." I found myself saying without even noticing.

All was good. Frisk kept her promise and freed us all from the Underground.

Today marks our fifth year anniversary of coming up the surface. And Frisk's and my anniversary of being together.

We're at the edge of Mt. Ebbot, staring at the setting sun.

My head nuzzled into her neck as I softly breathed in her scent.

She has her arm on my shoulders as I have my arm around her waist.

I pulled away a bit toscan her neck.

I saw two red dots. I chuckled as I remembered how I gave her that mark so everyone knows she's mine. She was surprisingly okay with me doing it.

"Hey Sans..." she called. I hummened in response.

"Do you remember the first time I fell?"

"Yeah, whataboutit?"

"The first time I saw you, I was scared." she said.

I flinched a bit.

"Then you did that whoopee-cusion-on-the-hand-trick, and I laughed so hard my belly hurt." she said with a giggle.

I chuckled as well as she continued. "And you introduced yourself, I was gonna tell you my fake name like the others... But I felt as if we had a small connection. And I liked you right away, so I told you my real name." she explained.

I remember her hesitating when she introduced herself. That explains it.

"I guess now I know why..." she said and looked at me.

We sighed in content as we snuggled closer and continued watching the sun set.
