It was a Monday morning, the day after the evaluations. Jungkook was preparing for the school day; he walked out to the living room to watch tv while his brother cooked breakfast for the two. A news broadcast interrupted the tv show to show yesterday's incident at the evaluation. Jungkook noticed that the broadcast failed to mention the invalids, because no one is technically supposed to know about them.

After school, Jungkook meets up with Jimin to take their daily walk. Jungkook makes his way to the designated starting spot, seeing Jimin already waiting. 

"Hey, Jimin."

"Oh, hey Jungkook- sorry I got here a little early."

The duo began walking as they conversed.

"No, it's totally fine... So whatcha been up to?"

Jimin paused for a moment to ponder.

"Hm, well nothing really, I've just been thinking about that whole prank from yesterday."

Jungkook felt the same way; he wasn't able to get that entire day out of his mind.

"Yeah, me too- it was kinda scary."

"Really? I thought it was hilarious, it was honestly a brilliant prank."

Jimin's reply almost shocked Jungkook because it was inappropriate to speak of such an incident. He thought maybe Jimin didn't understand the message, and he wasn't aware of who pulled the prank. So he leaned in, as if someone were eavesdropping on their conversation. 

"Do you know who did it?"

The older nodded, not showing any sign of discomfort.

"Yeah, I mean it was obvious from the message- it was the invalids."

Jungkook seemed nervous as Jimin's last two words came out of his mouth.

"Don't say that in public-"

Jimin shrugged the warning off.

"It's not like anyone else is around- oh let's go down here!"

The latter pointed to a small path off of the regular route. Jungkook felt uneasy about going off track. 

"Jimin, I don't know if we should-"

Disreguarding Jungkook's words, Jimin pulled his friend down a new path. 

"We're just gonna look at what's down here, there is no harm in that, is there?"

Jungkook had to agree, already being pulled along.

"I guess not, but we should be careful."

"Yeah, whatever- c'mon!"

The two continued down the path until they came across an open security gate. Above the gate, there was a sign that read, "Authorized Personnel Only."

"Let's go in!"

Jimin exclaimed as Jungkook attempted to reply while continually being pulled.

"Um- I don't think this is such a great idea-"

"Yeah, well why would the gate be carelessly left open? It's basically an invita-"

The two stopped once they spotted a guard standing near the next hallway. Jungkook observed the guard's face, feeling like it looked familiar. The memory soon made it's way into the younger's mind. He realized that the guard was the same boy that winked at him the prior day.

"Wait, I saw you-"

Jungkook stepped forward, not even considering that he just revealed his presence. 

"Excuse me?"

The guard asked in a confused tone. 

"Yesterday, I saw you- you were in the evaluation room."

The boy shook his head in denial.

"No, I wasn't there yesterday, I think you have me mistaken for someone else."

Jungkook knew it was the same person he saw just yesterday, but he had no clue as to why the guard won't admit it. He gave up on the small disagreement, feeling that the mysterious boy would never admit the truth.

"Well, whether you've seen each other or not doesn't matter, I wanna know if we can tour around this area."

Jimin interrupted the conversation, to which the guard chuckled lightly.

"Unless you're into industrial waste, then there isn't much to see, but I've got a better place to show you guys."

Jungkook and Jimin glance at each other once before following the guard. They end up in a large area with an open view of the coast. Jungkook was completely captivated by the sight, noticing the sun reflecting onto the mass of clear water. The guard quietly observed Jungkook's reaction before approaching him and whispering one word in his ear.

"Gray."
