"We're going to the Wilds right now?"
Jungkook questioned the older boy as if he were out of his mind.
"Yeah- right now, let's go!"
Taehyung grinned widely and grabbed onto Jungkook's wrist to pull him along. The two strolled for a while before reaching an area of the town that the latter had never seen. A tall, electrified fence stood in the middle of a field, it looked intimidating, and as if it went on for miles.
"Where are we?"
"The edge," Taehyung stated simply.
Jungkook felt awestruck realizing he was currently standing at the border of the town. Taehyung, on the other hand, began approaching the fence casually as if it were not electrified.
"Wait- what are you doing?"
Jungkook asked once again as though the older were insane. He then proceeded to pull Taehyung back before he reached the fence.
"Kook- it's okay, the whole fence isn't electrified, there are certain places that you can climb over."
The younger appeared puzzled at the statement.
"But I was always told that the entire fence was electrified, that's why they told us to never come here."
Taehyung sighed in response.
"Yeah, that's just another lie to make your curiosity of the outside world go away, but now we're actually going there, so c'mon."
He motioned Jungkook over to the un-electrified portion of the fence before swiftly climbing over. The younger followed suit, climbing over in a rougher manner. The couple make their way to a secluded area in the woods; it appeared to resemble a small camp area. A large trailer stood in the middle of the empty region. Taehyung strolled over to the said trailer with a grin spread across his face.
"Welcome to the Wilds, this is my humble abode."
Jungkook was completely astonished as he walked into the trailer. His attention immediately directed up to the ceiling; it was entirely peeled back like the lid of a can, and the sun was apparent through the tree branches.
"Wow, it's beautiful."
Taehyung smiled at the simple compliment.
"Thanks, but that's not all I have to offer."
The latter shuffled over to a pile of books, grabbing one in particular.
"You like Romeo and Juliet, right?"
Jungkook nodded with a slight grin, glad that the older remembered.
"Yeah, why?"
"I've got a lot of Shakespearian sonnets laying around here, we can break some out if you want."
"Sonnets?"
The word wasn't one that Jungkook recognized.
"Yeah, they're like poems, here- I'll read some."
Taehyung took a seat on the small sofa and motioned Jungkook to join before opening a dainty book full of Shakespearian sonnets. His voice became soft once he began the first stanza,
"Let me not to the marriage of true minds admit impediments. Love is not love which alters when it alteration finds, or bends with the remover to remove: O, no! it is an ever-fixed mark, that looks on tempests and is never shaken..."
Jungkook couldn't fathom every word Taehyung said, but he understood the feeling that the poem radiated. He felt exhilarated yet sorrowful, but the most prominent emotion that stood out was affection.
"Taehyung, that's incredible."
The mentioned boy grinned at the younger's reaction.
"Yeah, it holds so much feeling and emotion you would've never thought existed."
"It does, can we read more?"
Taehyung laughed lightly, his grin growing wider.
"Of course-"
The couple laid down on the sofa, allowing the sunlight to fall naturally on their bodies. They opened up the book of sonnets once again and began to read all of Shakespeare's best works.
