It had been a few weeks since Jungkook visited the sunset view. During that time, he graduated from school, and then he was invited to a party by a popular classmate.

-

The Fourth of July crept up rather quickly, and everyone had arranged plans. Jungkook walked over to Jimin's house to light their annual fireworks. When Jungkook reached Jimin's home, he quietly let himself in. He reached Jimin's room, but he was taken back for a moment. He could hear faint music coming from the latter's room, except it wasn't just any music, it was forbidden music.

Jungkook stepped inside the room, (after knocking of course) and demanded to know what Jimin thought he was doing.

Jimin glanced up nonchalantly and let out a small sigh.

"Chill out, Kook- I'm just listening to some music and getting ready for a party."

"What? You're not supposed to be listening to this stuff- and parties aren't allowed!"

Jungkook never raised his voice like this, especially at his best friend. He felt like he was going crazy- he felt like he was losing his mind- he felt sick.

"Are you seriously gonna act like every other adult in this world?"

"You don't understand, Jimin, you've turned into someone I don't know."

After the words left his mouth, Jungkook let them sink in. He really believed that statement, because he thought maybe his friend was diseased, with love.

"Well, you can't live being this scared all the time."

"At least I won't get myself killed."

"Oh, like your mother?"

Jungkook became silent in an instant. He never spoke about his mother, although he did miss her constantly. He only told Jimin once, because they're best friends that know everything about each other. His mother commited suicide some time ago, and most details of her are missing.

"You know, you really need to get over your mother's death."

Jimin added more fire to the already blazing flames.

"Fuck you."

It seemed almost like a reflex to Jungkook to respond in such a way. He then proceeded to stand up and walk out to go home.

-

Jungkook sat in his room and fumed about his and Jimin's entire argument, particularly the part about his mother. He tried considering if he really could forget her death, but then he began thinking about her life. He started to reminisce on his best memories with her.

After long pondering, Jungkook concluded he needed to stand up and prove Jimin wrong by not being afraid. And so he decided to sneak out to tonight's party.

wow how rough was that

anyway heyhey this chap was a little more difficult to write, thats why i kinda put it off, like i honestly dont like reading rlly edgy stuff but then i had to write it bc it was in the book and i didnt wanna leave it out yanno, its not real edgy or anything but its not like its a happy thing to read or write either idk

here is the summary:

a few weeks past since jungkook went to the sunset, he graduated school, and he was invited to a party (obvi he doesnt wanna go) then the fourth of july comes up, jungkook and jimin always light fireworks together at jimins so kook goes over there, but when he gets there he hears jimin listening to forbidden music and hears that hes going to the party tonight, so jungkook yells that he cant do that and jimin gets annoyed w him and they go back and forth then jungkook eventually storms out, going home and he fumes about the whole argument, he basically wants to prove jimin wrong about their argument so he decides to go to the party

thats pretty much it i hope i threw everyones emotions at least a lil bit, see ya later
