The Dragon and the Gamer [FINISHED]

1. Brother

Genji's POV

It's cold and dark. Am I dead?... I cracked my eyes open a bit and I see a bright light beaming down at me. Is this heaven...? "Genji...?" I heard a female voice call out. I couldn't turn to the direction where the voice came from, but somehow the person knew I was listening. "This is Dr. Ziegler...do not worry, you are in good hands". I saw a blurry smile from her.

I close my eyes again and remembered what had happened.

5 HOURS EARLIER
"YOU ARE A DISHONOR TO THIS FAMILY NAME!" He said.

Genji smiled at the person with the sword "...please...brother...make it...quick..."

His eyes widened "tsk..." the man sprints to Genji with his sword at his side in the air.

Blood splattered onto the walls and leaked into the ground. Genji was on the floor. Lifeless. The man walks away with the sword covered in his brothers blood, without any regrets.

"He won't be able to live with this body anymore.. Angela.. he is a lost cause.."

The female doctor shook her head "No, he isn't. He didn't deserve this.. the Shimada Clan went too far." She called in more nurses to help her transform Genji's body. "Our best option to save his life is to make him into a cyborg.."

The transformation was a success. It took a few days for Genji to wake up, but once he did, Dr. Ziegler was by his side.

"Your name is Genji Shimada, I am Dr. Ziegler but you may call me Angela. You were nearly killed by your brother, Hanzo Shimada. Your body was no longer capable to go on, but I made adjustments. In order for you to have lived, I had to make you into a cyborg..." she paused "in return for saving your life... you will work with OverWatch to take down your family clan and their evil ways on living" she said no more and waited for his response. Genji sat up on the bed and looked at his lower body "I do not have a choice.. do I?"

"I'm afraid not." Angela replied

He sighed "when do I start training?..."

Jack Morrison walked into the room "You will begin once you have enough energy to even stand up". Angela glanced at the corner of her eye "Genji, this is Jack Morrison, also known as Soldier 76. He will be training you for now on. And I will look over you, to see if there are any bugs in your system."

Genji nodded "T-Thank you..." he grind his teeth with tears in his eyes "I will not let you down.."
