Super funny story about Lux's sister Layla ... I wrote this chapter while my aunt was still pregnant and remember thinking "wow if my aunt had a girl that would be such a pretty name" And totally forgot about it until she had the baby a few weeks ago and her name ended up being Layla...Weird right ?

This car ride dynamic is so different to what it's like in the car with Isaac. Emmett is pointing to all the attractions we pass by, telling me stories and histories behind each and every one of them. He has a huge smile on his face as he tells a story about his youngest brother, Easton, how he tried to climb up the giant dinosaur statue but fell off and broke his four front teeth. When we pass a particular hotel, Emmett says that's where his mom walked in on Elliot with a female from the small town. He's laughing at all these stories he shares with his family and I can't help but smile along. His relationship with his siblings is one I wish I had with mine own. When this is all over, I hope to get to know my sister, maybe she'll like me more than my brother.
I start to think about what it would've been like to grow up with my sister and brother. Would things have been different? Would my father be hard on her as well? He would have no reason to, she holds no future title. I think we would have been best friends, inseparable even. We would stay up late and talk about our days, we would watch movies together and as we got older, we would gossip about the males in our classes. We would train together and become stronger, show the pack that we aren't weak females but the first and second born to the alpha. Maybe when this is all finished, Layla and I can be just that. I would never want her to replace Rory but she is my sister. My best friend and my sister by my side.
"Lux?" Emmett asks, snapping me out of my thoughts. I look over to him as he looks at me questioningly.
"Yes?"
"We're here." He smirks, amused at the fact that I haven't noticed yet. I turn and look through the windshield and see a building that goes up for what seems like forever. Is this where royalty stays because it looks pretty enough to be. The lights on the side of the hotel shine bright with the dark summer night.
With a breathy chuckle, Emmett steps out of the car as I'm still starting at the work of art that is that building. I don't notice Emmett grabbing the bags from the back, or the fact that he's standing outside my door until he opens the door and leans down to my side.
"You know, it's more impressive once you get inside." His voice is deep and truly does something to me. I snap out of my daze and turn to get out of the car.
Emmett takes us inside and while he goes to check in, I wander around the first floor lobby. It seems that everywhere, every nook, has something to be amazed by. The décor looks like it has come right out of a castle. The chairs fit for a king, the art work marked from the early 1800s, it was beautiful. I wanted to stay here forever. I walk over to an area with a lot of seating and run my hand over the artistry of the chairs.
Emmett shouldn't have taken me here, it must have costed him a fortune and I don't deserve it all.
"You ready to go up?" He asks, I can tell he takes a minute to look at the artistry of this room as well.
"You didn't have to bring me here, this is too much." I shake my head.
"Too much of what?" He asks.
"Of everything, I don't deserve all this lavish" Lavish only beings to describe this hotel.
"You deserve the greatest." He says with a confused look on his face. He doesn't stop to listen to my complaints as he drags us towards the elevator and presses the top button. As we go up and up and go on and on about how he doesn't need to spend money on me because I haven't done anything to deserve it. I go almost silent when he opens the door to our suite.
