Chapter 2: Fallen Kingdom

Noctis POV:

As we heading toward the back docks, we saw no boats in sight, just like how that guy said. "Hey, what gives?" Prompto asks annoyed.

"I'll tell you" a guy from behind us says as I turn around facing the him.

"I heard, the empire isn't allowing any boats head to the docks of Altissia" "What? Are you serious?" I ask, slightly annoyed.

"Serious, as I'm going to get" the guy says as the other 3 approach me. "What's wrong?" Prompto asks as I explain to them the situation between the empire and Altissia.

"So, what do you suppose we do?" Prompto asks "I suggest we stay a night, things should be well in the morning" Ignis suggests, and I agree. We split up and I decided to go fishing.

Somehow, [Name] comes to mind.

She was the one to teach me some of the tricks, won't be able to surpass her though. The sun starts to slowly set in the distance and the skies become a nice orange color.

"Good luck, [Name]".

[Name] POV:

The city was happy to know the rivalry between Niflheim and Insomnia would finally be settled and a new era will begin.

You stood outside, though being a Kingsglaive member, only the Insomnia and Niflheim leaders and their council were allowed, which to you, sounded reasonable.

"Hey, [Name]".

Nyx Ulric, another member of the Kingsglaive, spoke through your earpiece.

You pressed your ear to respond back, "What is it?". "Things are about to get ugly, magiteks are here" the magiteks? Why would they need to be inside the castle?

"What the hell? Where are you? " You couldn't understand, still trying a reason why Niflheim's soldiers were in the castle.

"I'm following the magiteks, watch over the king. I'll be fine" Nyx explained, "N-Nyx?!" he cut the call, leaving you puzzled.

The monitors in front of the castle showed the treaty being put on the table, the crowd cheered loudly, clapping and being happy, still, something seemed off to you.

It was too late when bombs hit in front of the castle.

The cheers turned into gasps while others froze in place, confused just as you.

The monitor panned over to Iedolas and Regis, where Iedolas pulls out a gun from under his robe. The screens turned off and people were more confused.

Suddenly, a blast from the citadel shot up into sky, breaking the protective barrier. "What the?!" more blasts rang down and at that moment, you yelled, "GO! RUN!".

That's when gunfire rang out, you used your warping to take down the magiteks, along with the other guards, who did all they could to get the people to safety.

You had to get to King Regis, running up the stairs and before being confronted by magiteks, you sliced them down using your sword, bouncing off them using the warps.

They just kept coming and eventually, you threw your katana up and was able to warp onto a balcony. You burst through the doors and ran straight for the council room, calling Nyx in the process.

"Nyx! The empire's trying to bring down the city! The king is in danger! You have to save him! I'm on my way now".

You didn't have time to listen or respond as you kept running as fast as you can to save the king you saw as a fatherly figure.
