Chapter 10: By Your Side

[Name] POV:

You appeared in a dark place, before a spirit flew from your mandala and took the form of you, but instead of your [E/C] eyes, they were a haunting white.

"Oh. Look who it is, it's me" Your other half laughed at their own joke, but joking around was the last thing you were doing.

"It's my body, and I won't let you take over!" Your other half laughed again.

"Your body is just as yours as it is mine".

"I don't think that's gonna happen. You can give up now, and I'll spare your life" You said, as you summoned your weapon.

She sighed and grinned, shaking her head in amusement. "Oh, [Name]. Must be always resort to violence?" they said sarcastically. "It's rather simple, really. Destroy me, and you'll be destroying yourself".

"Do you really expect me to believe that?"

"Now, would I lie to you? It is your life on the line, but you seem to have already forgotten it's also mine."

You felt uneasy, you didn't want to listen, but you're basically being forced to.

You de-summon your katana and sighed, making your other side grin at the sight of your commitment of survival.

They walk towards you, getting in your face and said in a teasing voice, patting you on the head lightly like a dog.

"Good girl." You swipe their hand away, fighting back the urge to punch them in the face.

Your other saw this and half smiled as it disappeared, forcing you out of your unconscious state and returned you back into reality.

Ravus called for you over an earpiece "[Name], have you completed your mission?" You pressed on it to reply, and though your other side didn't know much, all they knew was when they were in control over you.

"The prince and the oracle escaped".

Ravus could be heard sighing. "What a shame, an airship has come to return you to Niflheim" You walked toward the gate doors seeing the Niflheim airship descend showing...

Ardyn Izunia.

"Well, you're a sight for sore eyes. Welcome back, [Name]!" You couldn't believe your eyes as your body walked into the airship, hitting the button to close the door. You roll your eyes.

"Cut the chat, let's just find the prince and end this war" You already knew what your body was going to do.

You just watched with an emotionless expression as the airship closed and returned back to Niflheim.

"Be safe, Noctis".

Noctis POV:

The guys, Luna, and I managed to make it onto the boat where Ignis ignited the engine as fast as he could before magiteks could get onto the boat with us.

I started having flashbacks remembering [Name] regain control, allowing for all of us to escape, as she stayed behind, trapped in her own world.
