Chapter 8: Trouble in Altissia

[Name] POV:

Everything was going smoothly, the 5 of you were about to head to Altissia, so by the next day, Noctis could marry Lady Lunafreya.

The last few days, you've gotten stronger with your new abilities gained from the mandala, you tried to use it only in drastic measures because it would drain your energy the longer it's in use.

The morning you wake up, thoughts swarmed your head, with Noctis in mind. It was clearly shown he wanted to be with you, but is unable to do anything that can change his fate.

You turned your head, the window was filled with bright skies, with not a cloud to be seen. A smile grew on your lips just seeing the breath-taking view.

You grab your jacket, and walk out of the room, and headed towards the Regalia to travel to Cape Caem where Cid had the boat prepared for the 5 of you.

You were heading to the dock when you noticed few of your friends were there to bid you farewell to Altissia.

"Good luck out there!" Iris said hugging you, before going over to her brother.

You couldn't help but watch Iris and Gladio's interactions, they were a pair you enjoyed watching. Smiling, you watched them give another goodbye hug.

You looked over at Noctis, he seemed more quiet than usual.

It's a big moment for him, he's getting married soon, who wouldn't be nervous?

He seemed more distant.

It wasn't like him.

What was he thinking?

You watched in awe as you arrived in the gates of Altissia, it was amazing to see Altissia, with it's beautiful skies, and clear waters. You 5 hopped off the boat as you awed in amazement.

"What a sight" Prompto enjoyed the view, taking a few pictures.

You chuckled as his dorky actions as the others split up, but you stuck around with Noctis.

"So, where do you want to head off first?" Noctis asked "I'm not entirely sure, I would just like to explore the city for a bit" You walked over enjoying the sights, gondalas, but you could hear a few whispers here and there.

"Is that the prince?"

"Who's that with him?"

"Is she another guard?"

It felt a little guilty knowing people didn't know who you were, but you were always in Insomnia, so you weren't known even if you were apart of the KingsGlaive.

"Everything ok?" Noctis noticed your quiet demeanor but you simply plastered a fake smile on your face as you continued to walk through the city of Altissia.

As you were walking, Noctis came across a crowd, with Lady Lunafreya speaking.

He went through the crowd, you lost him as he got further and further.

You listened to her words, you could tell she was a great person and very wise and noble especially for being an Oracle.

As it ended, you felt a slight tug at your arm, you tried to pull your arm back, but the grip was strong as it pulled you along out of the crowd and into an alleyway.

(A/N: I know it doesn't make sense, but please, it makes it more stealthy)

The figure threw you down on the ground, only being able to catch yourself with your hands.

The figure stood above you, white hair was all you remembered before the figure pulled down her mask on her mouth and smiled.

"Look who it is, [Name] [L/N]" Aranea had her trademark grin on her face that you desperately hated.

"What do you want from me?!" You were about to summon your weapon when she grabbed your arm and took a look at the mandala.

"You don't deserve this power" Aranea grabbed your hand, and placed a metal chain around it, that disabled you from summoning your weapons, or use your powers.

She grabbed onto the chain, and jumped onto a Niflheim airship which was disguised by an invisible barrier.

She looked at you and said, "Welcome to Niflheim" before knocking you out, and taking off without any knowledge of the others, or anyone else.

Noctis POV:

I was pacing around the hotel room, waiting for [Name] to return, since everyone else has returned, but not her.

"Calm down, Noct" Ignis was trying to be reassuring, but I couldn't imagine what would happen to her, especially with that new power of hers.

"Ignis is right, just take a breather, [Name] is going to be fine, you know how tough she is" Prompto stated but I couldn't protest, maybe I was overreacting. "She'll turn up, just have a little faith" Gladio added, but I still had to keep my promise.

I was going to protect her.

[Name] POV:

When you came to, you were chained in a cell most likely in Nifleheim, as 2 magiteks came at your cell door, and said "Well, look who's finally awake" "I won't tell you anything you want" "Good, because we're going to do this nice and fast".

The magiteks opened the door, with a syringe in hand, as they got closer to you, you still had your free hand, which you used to fight back but the second magitek pinned your free hand to the wall.

You couldn't help but scream as the syringe was injected in your neck, which silenced you once it took affect.

You placed your head down, then looking up as you unleashed your mandala but instead of white eyes, they were a dark grey, and the 2 magiteks let you out the cell before escorting you down to someplace else.

There was no control, you couldn't fight back, your mind was in Niflheim, but you could already suspect what they were going to do.

You arrived at the Niflheim Magitek Chamber where they encounter Ravus, Lunafreya's older brother who looks at you with a devilish smile "Have you injected her with the cerium?" "Yes sir, like the orders stated".

What Ignis or anyone else didn't know was when the mandala holder is consumed by their mandala...

The mandala holder loses control, destroying everything in their path.

And no one...

Can stop...

...or save them.
