[Name] POV:
Years went by, Insomnia had built itself from the ground up after the attack from Niflheim decades ago.
The love between the both of you remained strong, while age started to take a turn on the both of you, but as time progressed, Noctis eventually left this world behind, and entered the kingdom of the dead.
Leaving you and his people behind as well.
The kingdom was overwhelmed with grief, mourning the loss of their king. But no heart was more broken than yours. You stared into the far distance on the same balcony you reunited with Noctis with.
Your hand softly held onto the railing, as a soft breeze brushed up against you.
It felt like him.
Your wish to hold him in your arms again, and never let go. But instead, you held onto your arms, cupping your elbows. You closed your eyes, and taking in the moment.
Your hair grew grey, and your energy was slowly fading, it was only signs that would lead to the obvious conclusion.
You roamed the halls, pictures frames held against them, each and every one was a king's history and there you stopped to look up at Noctis'.
You smiled, brought back the memories of when the two of you were young. Your hand gently caressed the painting, "..I'll meet you soon."
You roamed the halls once more before entering your bedroom, which would become your last destination.
You opened the doors, seeing Gentiana looking outside the window, before turning to face you.
"Ah.." she softly called, "The queen has come to say her goodbyes" Gentiana said, "But when a story ends, another begins". You looked at her and slowly approached, cupping her hands that rested above her abdomen.
"Please take care of them. Guide them to be the [Queen/King] we raised them to be" You said. Gentiana smiled and briefly opened her eyes, still empty as ever.
"The gods. They seek wisdom within your offspring, a ruler who will honor your legacy and line" Gentiana replied. Suddenly, the doors behind you took your attention away from Gentiana, and as you turned, there stood [Child's Name].
"Mom..." [Child's Name] softly called, relief coming to them for a short moment.
[Child's Name]'s voice croaked, [She/He] was struggling hard to not cry, but how could [She/He] not?
[Child's Name] ran up to you, hugging you tightly, burying [Her/His] face into your shoulder, as you responded warmly, stroking [Child's Name]'s [H/C] hair.
"I'll...miss you" [Child's Name] muttered through tears, as you pulled away and wiped away a tear that had fallen with your thumb, cupping [Her/His] cheek.
"I will too. But we'll always be with you" You replied, briefly smiling, as [Child's Name] let a small laugh slip by through their pain.
"No matter where we are".
"Both Dad and I" You added.
[Child's Name] hugged you again and whispered into your ear, "Promise...?"
"Promise".
The both of you pulled away, but hands still cupped together. You both turned to face Gentiana, who stood there ghostly.
"The Kingdom of the Dead is calling you, Queen [Name]" Gentiana spoke.
It was time.
"The chosen king finds you at the gates. Your reunion awaits.." Gentiana added as you looked at [Child's Name], who understood what was next, but so badly didn't want it to happen.
"Your light is slowly fading. But that light will continue to grow inside [Her/His] heart." Gentiana said before leaving through the bedroom doors with [Child's Name].
Sigh left your lips when you perked up to see a picture frame.
It was a picture of you and the others, when you were young. You smiled, but felt like crying, as you placed it down and headed towards the chamber that held the crystal.
You walked down the hall that led to it, but as you drew closer, your energy already seemed to be drained the more steps you took.
Nonetheless, you opened the doors, and saw the crystal, the ancient relic of Insomnia, which contains every story of a past king, with Noctis being the most recent, and now, you.
You walked closer to the crystal, becoming face to face with it. It's bright light slightly blinding you, but you didn't mind much. You sighed, closing your eyes. Your arm reached out for the crystal.
The souls that rested within the crystal slowly wrapped around your arm before it consumed you.
Painless, leaving this world behind without any sadness or regrets.
You smiled.
..before everything went dark.

Gasp left your lips as you opened your eyes. You looked down at your hands, then at your clothes, soon realizing you've transformed back into your younger self.
You then took a look at your surroundings, quickly recognizing the hallway as the same hallway that contained the paintings of the past kings of Lucis.
But instead, the past kings' photos were replaced with memories that you and Noctis shared, smiling seeing them, your eyes being locked on Noctis.
The more you walked down, the more memories that were framed along the way, some, you started to remember.
Reuniting with Noctis...
Getting married...
Raising [Child's Name] together...
As you reached the end of the corridor, there stood a door. Symbolizing the end of your long journey.
You placed a hand on its cold handle, slowly opened it when you noticed a familiar and younger raven-haired boy's back towards you.
He turned around and smiled when he saw you.
"Took you long enough". You briefly laughed before running up to him and hugging him as he responded with a tender kiss afterwards.
Pulling away, you muttered, "I missed you so much..".
Noctis replied, "It's fine, you're here now.."
The ringing of the gate bells were clear in your ears, you looked up before your eyes returned to Noctis'.
He softly smiled as he reached out his hand for yours. "C'mon, we have some catching up to do."
You briefly laughed as you linked your hand in his, perfectly slipping into his warm grasp.
The loud closing of the gates followed.
Crystals then began to wither away at your empty vessels, but it didn't seem to faze you at all. You continued to stare deep into Noctis' sapphire eyes, as he got lost in yours.
Eventually, the crystals consumed them as well.
And soon, you became one with the kingdom of the dead.
"Hey...[Name]?".
"What?".
"I love you..."
