You looked around not even knowing where to start. It wasnt like his apartment was dirty, but you just didnt know what meant clean or not here. You picked some objects up and placed them where it looked like they would belong. The place looked nice now, but had to look extra nice if parents are coming over. You heard the shower turn on. You hurried to your house to get some cleaning supplies and to check the food.

You hummed nervously as you hurriedly cut up veggies, checked on the food cooking and made more food to satisfy Jimin's parents. They weren't your own, but you wanted to help him as much as he helped you. Plus anyone deserves bomb ass food. You made a few side dishes and made sure the main course was exquisitely tasteful before taking all the supplies you needed and rushing over to his apartment.

At this point you were already sweating like it was summer, dusting everything off, sweeping and mopping the floor with a pleasurable light fragrance, and setting up the table according to the dinner you made. It felt like you had done a lot and Jimin was still not ready. Worse than a woman...

"JIMIN HURRY UP!" you said just as he opened the restroom door and waddled to his room with only his pants on. "DONT LOOK AT ME IM SORRY! I WAS SHAVING!" he said as you quickly turned around to avoid seeing him so......clean, "shaving your legs probably. You took forever! Dinner is almost ready," you said as you wiped the sweat off your face. He quickly walked out of his room as he finished spraying cologne on himself and waved it around to reach everywhere, still with messy humid hair. "Oh shit-" he said as he looked at the time, but there wasnt much to worry about. You had done it all for him already.

"Thank you so much!" he said as he quickly leaned over and kissed your head, "lets go bring the food!" he said as he jogged over to the door to put his slippers on. "Ew I'm all sweaty," you thought after he kissed you, but you still smiled and followed him feeling a lot more giddy. You both brought the dishes over. Jimin inhaled slowly and let out a deep sigh, "damn this smells incredible. You made so much food in such little time." You both set the food on the table properly and arranged plates to look nice with the food. Finally everything was ready. You both stood there and looked at the hot food waiting for its guests.

"Thanks for helping me," he said to you as you wiped the sweat off your face with your sleeve. You smiled at him as a 'you're welcome' before he quickly said, "now go get ready hurry! You have twenty minutes!" He began pushing you to your apartment as you confusedly looked at him, "what me?! No this is your family Christmas dinner! I just helped out!" you said, but he managed to push you all the way out of his apartment, "go. get. ready," he demanded and you bit your lip in indecision. Was this even right?

He waved his hand through the small crack on this door for you to shoo away, "nineteen minutes," he said, warning you, "change nicely," he said before closing the door on you. You sighed in determination and went to your room. You did the most with the time you had left. The clothes you changed into were very nice but not too much. Your makeup was subtle enough to almost look like you didnt even do your makeup but damn you looked attractive. You sprayed a light perfume on you after straightening your hair and wondered if you looked good enough but fuck yeah you did.

Jimin knocked on your door, "(y/n) are you ready? My mom said she's around the corner. I want to meet them downstairs," he said from the other side of the door. You hurried and opened the door in a rush, "okay lets go!" you said, not even giving him the chance to admire you but fuck he felt like he died and resurrected. He was so used to seeing you in heavy jackets that he never got to even guess your body type. You always wore a bun or pony hair and never did you makeup. Even still he thought you looked pretty. You closed your door and tapped him, "cmon!!!" you said as you ran to the elevator.

He followed you quickly and stood next to you as you both waited for the elevator to take you to the first floor. "You look really really good," he said kindly. "Thanks! Is it too much though?" you asked. "No! No, everything is casual but nice. Good choice of- everything," he said with a nervous smile. You smiled back and stood casually. He liked how your personality was really visible even through fixing your appearance a bit more than usual.

"Are your parents like..strict? Do I have to be super duper proper? I mean its not like I'm your girlfriend anyway, but I care about respecting them," you said. He hummed, wondering how to answer, "well they arent that strict and are very casual around the table, but I dont think they'd mind the exaggerated respect," he joked. You laughed and rolled your eyes, "I just wanna give a good impression." Jimin smiled and raised his eyebrows up and down at you, "why is that?"

"You're dumb as hell," you said as you both let laughter overtake the nervous ambience. You both stepped out of the elevator and waited for them to arrive. "Its them!" Jimin said, his face lighting up so beautifully. You couldnt help but smile and wish your parents came to visit you too. You both stepped out into the cold evening. You followed behind Jimin nervously. "Dad, mom!" he said as he hugged each of them and kissed them on the cheek. You loved how they set aside the normal bowing and went straight for affection.

He was hugging his mom and let go when they both looked at you surprised but with smiles drawn on their faces. You bowed for a while, "very nice to meet you! Im (y/n) (y/l/n)," you said nervously before standing straight again. You noticed them all looking at you with smiles and you immediately became embarrassed and laughed quietly at yourself. "What a lovely girl! Very nice to meet you too!" Jimins mom said. His dad laughed with her, agreeing to her words, "its okay you can be causal with us. We know how annoying is it to be so proper," his dad said.

You smiled and gently bowed as a thank you. Damn... a family like this.."Jimin come get this," his dad said as he opened the trunk of the car and handed him a cake his mom had made for dessert. "I can take this," you said as you took another bag Jimin's dad had. He didnt wish for a lady to carry anything in but he admired you taking initiative. "Thank you," his dad said.

You all sat around the table and began eating as they loudly laughed and remembered stories from their past. Jimin kept laughing incredibly loud as his dad tried not laughing though his food. You didnt understand much of the story but hearing Jimins laugh made you laugh pretty hard. "Jimin your cooking has improved very much! Why haven't you married yet?" she asked. You both knew a question like this would probably come any time soon. Jimin glanced at you quickly before looking at her, "actually (y/n) cooked everything," he said. You lowkey wanted him to take the credit so that they would be impressed, but he had to go and fuck it up.

"Ahh I see. You might as well be a mother soon! Your children would be so chubby like Jimin was when he was small," she said, making you both cringe even more. "After marriage of course," she added, making you choke internally. You smiled and let out a gentle laugh neither agreeing nor disagreeing. You took a sip of your drink and bowed, "excuse me I'm gonna go to the restroom." They nodded and you left. Everything seemed okay until you closed the restroom door.

"MOM WHAT KIND OF QUESTIONS WERE THOSE YOU HAD TO DO IT I KNEW YOU WOULD IM NOT MAD BUT WHAT IF SHE GOT OFFENDED THEN WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO SHE ALMOST ATE ME ALIVE YESTERDAY IM DEAD FOR SURE I FEARED THIS MOMENT AND YOU ASKED LIKE A BILLION QUESTIONS AND EVEN BROUGHT IN BABIES TO THE PICTURE," Jimin whispered loudly at her. She gasped and made a face of mistake, "I'm sorry! Aishh!" she said as she smacked the top of her hand, scolding herself. Jimin stopped her and shook his head, "aishh mom... she's not my girlfriend she's just a really close friend. She helped me clean and cook on time for tonight and I invited her to stay for dinner after all her hard work, plus she's going through a tough time so being here with family is the least I can do for her to feel at home," he said.

Both his parents felt bad understanding your situation now, but his mom couldnt help but be extra, "she's still really beautiful and a great woman to marry dont be dumb."
