I love Adammmmmmmmmmmmmm that's all

You walked into lunch, a cheery smile on your face as you chatted with Connie on your way to your table. That smile, however, quickly faded, when your eyes landed on the one and only Adam Banks. Adam had been one of your best friends, ever since you started playing hockey. Over the past couple of months, you had begun to develop feelings for him, that went a little past the realm of best friends.

And, here he was, sitting on one of the lunch tables, flirting with some blonde who was twirling her hair all over him. The overwhelming wistfulness, the feeling that you wanted to be in that blonde's position, it was crazy. Your step faltered for just a moment, and Connie noticed.

"You okay, [y/n]?" she asked, casting a concerned look your way. You stopped staring at Adam, and turned to look at her.

"What? Yeah! Yeah, I'm fine," you muttered as you reached your table, sitting down across from Charlie and Guy.

"Hey guys, what's up?" Charlie asked, and Connie began to answer him, leaving you to zone out. Inevitably, your gaze turned back to Adam and the blonde whom you couldn't even remember the name of. Connie nudging your shoulder brought you out of your thoughts, and back to reality.

"What?" You asked, looking at the blank faces of your three friends. Charlie's mouth formed a smirk, and he leaned backwards, studying you.

"I see you. And, what I see you doing, is staring at Banks over there. What's up?" Charlie inquired, still smirking at you.

"Oh my god, all of you are so infuriating," you replied, standing up from the table. You walked towards the cafeteria exit, quite angrily, I might add. Apparently, this caught Adam's attention, because he abandoned the blonde he was talking to, in favor of following you. You made it all the way down the hallway, before Adam caught up to you.

"[Y/N]? What's up?" You heard Adam from behind you, and despite being mad at him, his voice still made butterflies erupt in your stomach. You took a minute to turn around and look at him, only to roll your eyes and continue walking.

"What is your problem?" His voice was more agitated now, impatient. You stopped walking, and turned around, shooting a hard glare right at the blonde boy in front of you.

"The simple answer? You. The long answer? Everything you do. Well, I guess they were both simple answers. Hah, look at that," you chuckled dryly, crossing your arms over your chest. Adam looked confused, trying to connect the dots in his head.

"What's that supposed to mean? What did I do?" he asked finally, giving you a scrutinizing look.

"Are you blind, Adam?," you walked closer to him, "I've been in love with you for months! And, I've had to sit on the sidelines watching you flirt with literally every other girl in this school! I can't take it anymore, okay?" Adam's gaze softened, and you realized how close you actually got to him.

In a two quick strides, Adam closed the gap between the two of you, grabbing your chin, he connected your lips in a passionate kiss. You kissed back, all of the pent up anger releasing itself.

"I never flirted with you, because I liked you. I never meant it to all of those girls. I was afraid you'd reject me," Adam whispered, once you pulled apart.

"See how many problems would be solved if you just asked me out?"
