Paige's POV
The final bell rang signaling the day is over and it is finally friday thank goodness. I just finished getting my stuff at my locker when I looked up to see Jack coming up to me.
"Hey Paige." he said smiling kissing my nose
"Hey are we hanging out tonight?" I asked getting all excited
"Sorry Leigh is coming over for dinner." he said. The smile soon wiped off my face.
"Hey I know that look what's wrong?" he asked pushing a strand of hair behind my ear
"You have been hanging out with her all week. And you have barely talked to me." I said closing my locker
"Look Paige she is one of my best friends I am just not going to ignore her."
"So it is ok to ignore me?" I asked looking at him
"I don't know what you want me to do." he said throwing his hands up in the air
"I don't want you to do anything. Go have fun with her." I said turning on my heel and walking out the door.
"Hey Mo." Megan said pulling up in her car. I hopped in.
"Can we do something tonight?" I asked her
"Yes I was just going to ask you that. How about we go mess with the drive through people at McDonalds? I know you love doing that when you are upset." she said
"How do you know I am upset?"
"Oh please Jack has barely noticed you this week because of Leigh. I would be upset too."
"How come you never told me about her?"
"I honestly didn't think she was going to show up again. She always used to talk about how she hated living here and couldn't wait till she moved to Alabama."
"Well she should stay there." I said laughing and Megan starting cracking up too
"There's my girl." she said as we pulled around to the drivethrough. After we messed with the people for about five minutes talking in bad accents we finally ordered our food.
"I would like a vaniella milkshake, chicken fingers and fries please." I said smiling. Megan got what I got and we pulled into the parking lot to eat it.
"Where is Nash today?"
"He has a family party tonight. Plus things havn't been the best lately." she said looking down
"What is going on?" I asked concerned
"I don't know it just seems like lately we are always fighting and we are both really distant." she said shrugging
"You are going to get through this I promise." I said giving her a hug
"Thanks. Um court date is coming up soon will you come with me?" she asked
"Of course Megs of course." I said smiling at her
"Good it is in two weeks. It is actually the same day as Winter Formal but in the morning." she explained
"Well I will be there. Wanna go to Sky Zone?" I asked as her face lit up
"Oh my God yes!" she exclaimed turning her car on. We both have some sneakers and extra clothes in the back. I turned on the radio and it was Still Into You by Paramore. We both started belting out the lyrics. I made it into a instagram video. Once we got to skyzone we got changed and jumped around. We were doing flips and running into eachother. We were just laughing a lot. It felt good to hangout with my best friend and get my mind off of things.
"We should not have eaten McDonalds before we came." she told me holding her stomach as we changed into our other clothes
"I know but I had fun though." I said linking my arms with her as we walked back out to her car
"Yeah I did too Mo." she said. We arrived home about twenty minutes later.
"Looks like somebody has been waiting for you." she said pointing to the front porch. I looked over and saw Jack sitting there.
"Go talk to him. You know you will regret it if you don't." she said smirking
"Thanks for today and go and make up with Nash please." I told her getting all my stuff out of the car
"I will. Text me tomorrow!" she said before backing out of the driveway
"Hey." I greeted Jack sitting down next to him
"Hi." he said shyly
"How long have you been waiting out here for?"
"Only ten minutes." he said shrugging. I nodded my head.
"Look Jack I'm sorry. I just got jealous about how much time you were spending with Leigh. I should have been more thoutful since you havn't seen her in a while." I said looking over at him. He smiled and kissed my forehead.
"It's ok. And I am sorry for not spending time with you this week. I didn't mean to ignore you." he said
"I know. What happened to her coming over for dinner?"
"Eh she cancelled on me. She told me that she was going out to eat with her family."
"Well do you want to come inside and hang out? My dad is working late tonight." I explained opening up the house and throwing my dirty clothes in the washer
"You know you are cute when you are jealous." he said wraping his arms around my waist
"Stop." I said blushing
"You are also adorable when you blush." he said kissing me
"I really hate you." I said in between kisses
"Nah you love me. Why do you smell like rubber?" he asked me confused
"Oh Megan and I went to skyzone." I said getting two water bottles out of the fridge
"Oh yeah Jack J and I went there once over the summer. It is a lot of fun."
"Yeah Megan and I are so clumsy though. When is your next basketball game?"
"Thursday. Are you coming?"
"Yupp and so is my dad. He wants to see how the team is doing since you guys are undefeated." I said smiling
"That's fun. Wanna watch a movie or something?" he asked intertwiing our hands together
"Yeah but first I have to shower." I said
"Well you know we could always do that together." he said cheekily
"Not gonna happen Gilinsky." I said lightly pecking his lips
