Paige's POV
Right now we are hosting one of my dad's work events. I am wearing brown strappy heels, a white dress with a pink belt, and a light nude sweater. My hair was back in a french braid and I had on my normal amount of makeup. Megan could not be here tonight because she is sick with the flu.
"Hey squirt I have some people for you to meet." my dad said grabbing my hand and leading me over to some people.
"Paige this is my boss Rick Schneider and his son Pat Schneider. Pat goes to Prep. Guys this is my daughter Paige." My dad said introducing us. Wow so this is the asshole from Prep that hates friends and punched my boyfriend.
"You go to Westside right?" Rick asked me
"Yeah I do." I replied
"Great school if Pat didn't make it into prep he would have gone to West Side." Rick said. We talked for a little bit more but then my dad left me alone with Pat.
"So your dating Gilinsky right?" he asked smirking
"Yeah I am. Why do you care?" I asked crossing my arms over my chest
"Fiesty. I like you." he said smiling
"Stop smiling you are creeping me out."
"Look I am not going to make a move on you because I don't want 100 Westside guys coming after me. But if you were single you would be begging me to go out on a date with you." he said smirking getting us both a drink
"Cocky much? You know what I think about you, you are an arrogant asshole who deserves to get the shit beat out of him." I said smirking
"Oh I get it. You are just mad that I beat up your boyfriend. I get it now." he said smirking
"You're an ass." I said walking away outside. I was just sitting in my driveway when I felt somebody sit down next to me. I looked up to see Jack J sitting there.
"Hey." he said bumping shoulders with me gently
"Hey." I said smiling grateful that he is here.
"What are you doing here exactly?" I asked him smiling
"Well I was bored and Sam and I were trying out some new tricks on our bikes when I saw you here."
"Where is Sam?" I asked laughing
"He went home. His brother is in town from college." he explained
"So why arn't you at Brock's party tonight with Gilinsky?"
"Why arn't you there?"
"Hey I asked you first." he said laughing
"My dad's work thing. He wanted me to meet all his co workers and his boss who turns out to be Pat Schneider's dad. Just had a five minute conversation with him and I wanted to punch him by the time it was done."
"Oh I can go in there and do it for you." he said laughing
"So why didn't you go to the party?"
"Ex girlfriend was going to be there. Millie is there. Didn't want to pull Millie into all that craziness." he said shrugging
"You really care about her don't you?"
"Yeah I do. Hey I will go to the party if you want to go." he said
"Alright let me just go tell my dad." I said running inside to tell him. Jack J peddles his bike and I rode on the back to his house. He ran inside to grab his keys and he drove to the party. It was only 9:00 so a lot of people were still here. We parked on the lawn and walked in together.
"Paigee!" Millie shrieked running over to me
"Hey Mil." I said holding onto her so she wouldn't fall
"I think you have had enough." Jack said taking the cup away from her
"You guys suck." she said as Jack wrapped his arms around her
"You will thank us in the morning." I said. Jack G spotted me and he walked over towards me.
"Hey babe. I thought you weren't coming?" he asked lightly pecking my lips
"I wasn't but Jack J came over and we decided we should go. Has it been fun?"
"Yeah it has. Hey I want you to meet the rest of the boys." he said grabbing my hand and pulling me over to a circle of guys
"Guys this is my girlfriend Paige. Paige this is Brock, Mack, Luke, and Chad." he said introducing us
"Hey nice to meet you guys." I said waving slightly
"So this is the famous Paige? You didn't say she was this pretty." Brock said causing me to blush
"Hey she is of limits." Jack said wrapping his arm around me
"Hey I am just kidding. Enjoy the party." Brock said to me giving me a wink
About an hour later I was just making small talk with some girls in my history class when I saw Jack stumbling around. I excused myself from the girls and walked over to him.
"Jack sweetie I think it is time for us to go." I said wrapping my arms around his waist
"But babe I don't want to go." he slurred
I reached my hand into his pocket and took out his keys. I helped him into his car and hopped into the driver's side. He was starting to fall asleep on the way home. I pulled into his driveway and helped him out. We walked up to his room and I tucked him into bed. I walked downstairs and brought him up some asprin and water for the morning. When I walked back in the room he was already fast asleep.
"I love you Jack. Sweet dreams." I mumbled lightly kissing his forehead before walking home.
