G's POV

The second that I'd realized what she was getting at I felt guilt swell in my soul. She was planning to kill herself for killing them. Knowing her she was probably planning it in the most brutal way possible. My comments from back then probably didn't help.

I knew it was Frisk when I saw her bring the knife to her throat and tears began to form in her eyes. It was so painful to watch her blood drip down her neck when I took a step closer. It felt like she was cutting me.... I couldn't let her die. I had so many questions. I had to know why she left. Why she decided on the name Crystal. What she's been up to. What the surface looked like and who was left.

I let myself soften and take the knife. That was the first step in making things better right..? I didn't know how long she had been planning this but clearly she believed strongly. My magic would've given in had she held on any longer. Watching her cry broke my heart. Had I really caused this....?

She seemed to lighten up at the mention of Papyrus. Whether it was because she knew she couldn't let papyrus see her like this, or because she truly wanted to see him, I didn't know. All that mattered is that she lightened up. She got to her feet and brushed the tears from her eyes. I wanted to do it for her but... nah

I started to walk and as Frisk would, she silently followed. She wasn't nearly as predictable as she used to be but I could still see some of her habits. Exhibit A, being the way she holds herself.

I kept a close, watchful eye on her the entire way back. She said she needed her knife back because it was from a brother or something and because I didn't feel like fighting her on it anymore, I let her keep it. Her magic would flash occasionally in her eyes, and even spark, making her flinch.

She was more jumpy than normal. She was even more emotional than I last knew. I felt like an asshole for treating her the way I had. I thought she would've smacked me upside the skull but she just... took it. She took the beatings and the attitude and.... She lied about not liking spaghetti.. For fuck's sake...

I'd have to make it up to her in some way. For right now, I wanted her to see Papyrus. When I opened the door, Papyrus peeked through the crack of his bedroom door. I saw his pinpricks widen and I couldn't tell if he knew that it was Frisk or not.

"H-Human?" His voice called out, shaky. Guess that answered my question.

"Yes Paps, it's a human" I said stiffly. I glanced back at her to see how she was holding up and smirked, finding her in tears of joy,

"Pa....Papyrus???" She called bac, weekly.

"FRISK!!!!!"Papyrus' door swung open and he ran down the stairs, tackling her in a hug. Tears of joy fell down her face. Some that weren't even her own.

"Oh Frisk! Where were you??? Why did you leave us?? Were you down here all this time?" Papyrus questioned but her only response was to hold him tighter.

I could tell by her actions alone that she'd missed him, and was happy that he was alive. He was like an older, yet somehow younger brother to her. She had loved Papyrus as much as I had, and I'm sure his death would be very hard on her as a pacifist. Then again though, we weren't in those times anymore. Could she even reset or save? I suppose that was just another question to add to the list...

"E-Em... Fr-Frisk.... You're grip is... ve-very strong.... Eheh.." Papyrus remarked. I snickered, tapping her shoulder to make her loosen up. I was pretty sure she couldn't hear anything but a sharp ringing sound.

"P-Papyrus I'm so sorry I left you. At the time I-I thought you were both dying and... I-I couldn't bare to see that... So I left..." She explained, letting he go and brushing her thumb across his cheekbones. He looked troubled. Pained. Like he wished she didn't think that and I'd be damn wrong if I told you I didn't feel the same. I was just better at hiding it.

She sniffled. "Papyrus I.... I came down here again to... To revisit the past... A-and I didn't want Sans to know who I was so.... I kept myself hidden." The way she put it wasn't a complete lie. She did come to revisit the past and she did keep her identity hidden. I was just happy that she was keeping it honest with my bro.

"Ah- Paps I think the human needs some rest..." I gestured. He turned to me with the pig, curious eyes that I hadn't realized I had missed so much.

"Will she be able to spend time with me tomorrow?" He asked.

"Heh, yeah bro."

How could I say no to that face?
