Once we got to Grilby's, Papyrus had greeted me with a hug. In the center of the room, presented on the table was a different cake. G must've talked him into getting a new one. When did he find the time to do that? I was practically glued to his hip for the time we were out. Perhaps he called him...
G had sauntered over to the jukebox and pushed two gold coins in with his thumb. He made two selections and walked back over, handing me a decent sized bag of coins. When I glanced back up at him, furrowing my eyebrows questioningly, he was already on his way over to the bar for a drink.
He turned back and shrugged with his lazy smile. "Princess gets to choose the music."
I chuckled. "Don't spoil me, I don't deserve it"
He raised a brow bone. "Don't deserve it? Kid it's ya birthday! You deserve everything you're given today, just enjoy it." He stated, kissing my cheek.
When the songs faded out, I made my way over to the jukebox and inserted several coins into the machine, making my selections somewhere in the middle I had added a coldplay song. G was busy pouring my another Bloody Mary when I had returned back to my seat.
Two songs in, and another drink, and I was buzzed. I was very good with handling my liquor by now, after the Little Miss incident and such... I could feel G's intent stare, drilling into the side of my head, and I had half a mind to tease him about it but.. I didn't. He was fairly sober as well, seeing as he didn't want to leave Papyrus to take care of two drunk children tonight.
When the coldplay song started, I saw a flicker of interest in the song from out of my peripheral. Then he glanced back at me. "You like coldplay?" He asked, sounding a bit shocked. I chuckled softly. "Yeah they aren't bad... They help put my mind at ease when I drink." He smiled at this. I noticed that he'd stood and I'd turned my attention to him. I had also noticed, that Papyrus wasn't present... What was he up to...?
"May I have this dance?" He asked, all gentlemanly n'shit.... Should I have been nervous? Slowly I took his hand, but then, mortifyingly, I remembered that I couldn't dance, and let his hand go, pulling it back to my other hand. He turned back, confused, and my eyes avoided his as my face flushed.
"I-.... I can't dance."
He chuckled, grabbing my hands again, pulling me onto the dance floor that Grilby's had. "Can't? Or won't, Frisk?"
I didn't respond.
He sighed. "Look, I'll lead, you just follow okay?" He said, giving an encouraging, charming smile.
"O-okay.." I replied, nervously taking his hand once more.
It started with his left hand on my waist, while his right one had grabbed my left one. I placed my other hand on his shoulder and he began to move. Doing as told, I followed his movement. It was all fine and well, until the trumpets in the song had sounded for the pre chorus and I was thrown into a dip. My eyes had widened slightly, but his were relaxed, with the most mischievous grin that'd I'd ever seen in my life. I knew I shouldn't have accepted his offer!!!
I was in a series of spins and drops and as it carried on, I started to giggle. As one of the key parts had come on, he spun me and let go, I had stopped myself to face him, and watched him pull out a few fine moves of his own before he gave me my que and he'd pulled me back in, to finish the dance.
When the song had ended, we were both a horrible panting mess. He had done so well with controlling my movement. As well as his own. Out of that entire birthday, that was my favorite part. I smiled up at him and he returned the gesture, and I was just so happy, that I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him in for the tightest hug.
He seemed surprised but then... He hugged back. "Thank you, for that.." I said, between breaths.
"Glad you enjoyed... It's rare that I do such a thing... Not even Paps knows" He said impishly, the host of his body showing through. It was rare that he hid things from Papyrus. I was glad that it was just a thing between he and I though. It made me feel special.
And according to him....
For at least the day...
I was... heh
