When I woke the next morning the area instantly felt foreign. Clearly I wasn't on the bean bag, my back would hurt. Rather, I felt relaxed. Refreshed. Daring to open my eyes, I sighed. Damnit... I was in his bed. I told him I'd sleep in the bean bag. Which of course, was where I'd found him.... It kind of pissed me off... He was strictly bone, where as I had layers to protect my bones. He needed a bed more than me.
I sat up, feeling my head. A headache... just perfect. Glancing over at Sans once more my anger turned into jealousy... The good looking skelefuck was snoring. Drooling a little. Bet he was dreaming of something good.... With a sigh, I pulled myself out of his bed and over to the door. Papyrus was definitely up, I could hear his humming from through the floor.
What surprised me was the smell. When I opened the door, I couldn't smell spaghetti. It was... Pancakes? Was he feeling okay? He never made anything other than Spaghetti... With a bit of spring in my step I approached the kitchen, a bit excited. With how good Paps' spaghetti was I could only imagine his pancakes...
"Papyrus?" I called out.
"Guess again princess" Flowey replied.
Oh right... I almost forgot.
"What's up bean sprout?" I asked, entering the kitchen and pulling myself onto the island in the middle of the room.
"I don't know, you tell me... I thought you were killing yourself, and now you're all buddy buddy with these two? I didn't even know Papyrus was still alive until yesterday..."
I sighed. "I dunno... I was going to but Sans stopped me and brought me back here. Seeing Papyrus now I.... I don't want to leave them again.... They know who I am flowey..." I informed.
He was quiet for a moment. "You really are an idiot Frisk..."With that, he had disappeared into the ground.
I knew he'd be back.... He wouldn't just give up on me like that. As much as he and sans hated each other, I knew how much flowey hated being alone. As for the smell of pancakes, and Papy's humming, it was a trick flowey had used to lure me down. Which kind of hurt my heart.
Since I was the only one up, I decided I would make the skeleton brothers breakfast. It would add to the list of never ending apology gifts. It wasn't like they seemed to mind. So, opening the fridge, I'd crouched down and picked out the items I would need. It was amazing to me that they even had these things if all they ate was spaghetti. But none the less I was greatful.
That was when I remembered my phone. I Didn't know how I could forget when it was my only music source but I had. Pulling it out of my back pocket with excitement, I turned on the music, swaying my hips to the beat. Cooking was always so much easier to deal with when you had music...
After a while, I spun on my heel and Placed a filled plate on the table. There was sausage, scrambled eggs with melted cheese, and two, buttermilk pancakes. The smell was mouth watering and I almost wanted to eat it, but sadly, one rule about being the cook is that you serve yourself very last.
I didn't mind though. I hadn't been eating a lot the way it was so what was a few more minutes right? Right. I was having fun with dancing around to the music anyway. As always, the songs cleared my mind. Made it easier to think through my next steps. Once Sans had trusted me on my own again I would return to the lab to find what it was that Gaster wanted... Or... Perhaps I should have Sans with me for that? I was pretty sure he would kill me if I went alone.
Spinning once more, I placed a second plate on the table as well, but this time I'd stopped dead in my tracks, all thoughts clearing my head. Standing there, leaning on the door frame with a smirk and a cigarette between his teeth was Sans.
Blush spread across my face and up to my ears and all I could do was stare. He had seen me dancing around. I knew for fact that I wasn't a good dancer, so I would only do small things like sway my hips, and spin and such.
"H-how long have you been standing there?" I asked, cursing my stutter.
He chuckled softly in his smooth morning voice. "Since you put the first plate down" He answered. But of course with the way he said it, I'd only blushed harder.
God how embarrassing...
