It started out just like any other day... I sat down at the bar and poured myself a new drink. The pain was pretty numb now but it was simply because I never left the bar. I barely ever heard from Papyrus and there was only the occasional nagging of the flower but today..... He didn't come to nag me.
"Hey brain dead, over here" He called.
I rolled my eyes and turned. "What is it petals..."
"It's from her" Was all he said as he tossed a paper ball at me, and disappeared into the ground.
Oh yeah I caught it alright... With my damn eye socket. I sighed and took it out, uncrumpling it and reading it. My pupils went black and widened a bit. It really was from her. This was her cursive writing...

Happy birthday! I know it's been forever but I want you to know that I have a present for you! I will list a place and when you get there, there will be and other note to send you to the next place. And... who knows? Maybe a present~ heheh ^-^ Your first destination is the forest

My breath got stuck in my throat and I covered my mouth. She.... Was she back?!? How?! I stopped asking questions and dropped everything, tripping over my own feet to get to the door. If she was alive, I would have to see her.
When I got to the forest, only one tree had a paper. I go running up to it and I tear it off. Behind it is a very poorly carved heart with two initials inside. An "F" and a "G" I smiled to myself and chuckled softly. Beautiful. As I took a breath, I read the next letter.

I took this time to look around at my surroundings. She was right... Matter of fact, this was probably the exact tree that I pinned her to... I was a real asshole.... I chuckled to myself and carried on to the next destination, feeling so many emotions. Confusion. Excitement. Hope. Sadness. It was so crazy to think that.... She was actually back.
When I arrived in waterfall, behind the actual waterfall that gave the area it's name, I could see the lights of the Crystals. How did I know? I didn't really want to climb but I would, for her sake. When I finally got up, right where we stood and shared our first kiss, was an echoflower. I marveled in it's beauty before brushing the tips of the petals to hear.... Her voice
"Hello handsome.. Are you having fun? You should smile more! It's your birthday after all.... Your last stop, is your room... Go get your present! With love, Frisk.."
I teared up. Dear god she was going to be the death of me. If she wasn't there when I got there I would be severely depressed. I stood, shaking insanely and teleported back to my house in tears. Papy was all smiles, down in the kitchen.... What did he know...?
He glanced over and waved, happily stirring a pot of noodles. "Happy birthday brother!"
I couldn't even begin to think as I raced up the stairs and swung open my bedroom door, shutting it behind me. Before I had even turned my head, I could see her reflection in the doorknob. She was alive.... I turned on my heel to take in her beautiful image once more. She was in a beautiful white dress, that cut off about mid thigh, and black heels.
"Happy birthday.... I uh... I got you cigarettes.... You're kind of hard to buy for... eheh.... Um... I hope you enjoyed the little hunt thing I... wanted to make this cute.... I knew you wouldn't really come home unless you had a good reason so... um.... Yeah.... I was looking forward to being your girlfriend again.." She paused, looking up with teary eyes. "That is... if you'll have me...?"
I couldn't breath. I was a teary mess and I stomped my way towards her, locking a hand in her hair and kissing her deeply. God damnit her lips were as perfect as the were two years ago.... As my lips parted from hers I wrapped her in a tight hug and let out a shaky breath. She had kissed and hugged back.
"We never broke up to begin with..." I whispered...
