"Sometimes we need to take a step away to even realize what's happening." - Cat

Rays from the sun peeked through the window, illuminating the room. Throwing light on the two human bodies sleeping soundly in the huge bed.
The clock read 8 o clock but still the sun's glare was strong and it was hot outside.
The first one to wake up was Cat. For a few seconds she laid in bed, eyes open but unmoving.
She shifted in bed to glance at Alexei who's back faced her. She could still feel the pain from last night, she remember how she had resorted to drinking.
How Alexei had took her to bed, but inside her heart the flame of hatred just grew higher.
She hoped he'd one day realize that his actions had consequences, some long lasting, and no matter what, memories don't fade away.
Sometimes they stay as reminders.
All Cat knew was that she had to stay away from him. She quietly got out of the bed and tugged on her silk robe.
From the open window, the sound of constant chirping beckoned her to come look. As soon as she looked outside, one thing was apparent.
It was a beautiful day, the view of the huge grounds gave an exciting imagery. Cat knew she couldn't be stuck inside, sulking all day.
Though she was amazing at it.
Her eyes squinted as in the distant she saw, what only could be a beautiful Moroccan themed pool. Excitement filled her body as she was given the purpose of her day.
Because it was early and many were still sleeping, recovering from the long evening festivities, Cat knew she could slip away easily.
She quickly showered and slid on a slinky black two piece bathing suit, with a triangle top.
Brushing her hair and adding some waterproof mascara, she grabbed a pair of sunglasses, a towel, sunscreen, filled water bottle, one of her extra silk robes, her camera and dumped it in a bag.
Though the tricky part was getting out of the suit and to the pool without getting noticed. Feeling like she was in some sort of spy movie, she tip toed around the quiet floor and down the stairs.
